Great information! Where'd ya go? Missing these tutorials. Maybe you can do a video on something more esoteric? Arrangements, modes, some theory? Sound design for other instruments? Hope everything is going well!
You’re tutorials are spot on dude, I would be lost in my beginning stages of producing and sound design if it weren’t for your videos. And your sarcastic humor cracks me the fuck up lol. I hope you come back and make more soon!! Take care ❤
Just wanted to say thanks because these tutorials are so good. Aside from the specific styles, you do a fantastic job of explaining how to go about beginning sound design and how each parameter can interact with the others. You make it so clear and easy to grasp, so thanks.
Thank you so much for all the videos you have posted. I have learned so much from your tutorials and have been inspired to produce so many times just by watching and your channel. I hope you continue to put out more sound design and arrangement tutorials. If There's any way you could post a video explaining the sound design and/or arrangement for Smoakland, Canabliss, or Zingara i would love you forever!
Not sure when you will make more videos again but aways love learning from your vids. Would love to someday see a tutorial on how to produce in the style of Notlö. And maybe also a Veil tutorial. Either way love your videos! Thanks so much for the tutorials you put out
Thanks dude this is exactly what I was looking for 5am and pluto era created a growl in one of their songs and this helped me recreate some of their sound.
Imagine if this was someones first growl tutorial. Anyway great video. I see a lot of growl tutorial videos showing how to make the sound but not the vowely parts of it so good job.
Love the tutorials man. Very very helpful you're a great teacher. Can I request a quick tutorial ? I would love some tips on how to do really weird timing. Something like speaking in tounges by jade cicada. Specifically from the 45 second mark to the 55 second mark. Much love man thank you for all you do.
Hey bro been binging your content I love your sound design tutorials! I wanna put in a request xD, can you breakdown the sound design on montell2099's "Possible" or any of his tracks and how to achieve those weird sound effects and textures ? and rhythms
okay I vomited 5 seconds in. Love your content so much, ive learned so much and grown more within the shade because of it. Hope you are well. Hope to hear more future projects :D
New sub today ✅ Love how no BS and straight to the point your vids are dude 🤘 also has anyone ever said you are the absolute voice double of Donnie Darko...? Am I the only one that hears this?? 😂
Hey Bunting, could you please do an LSDREAM sound design video at some point? 🙏Specifically how to create something like the massive drop in the song "HIGH VIBRATIONS".
Yo, if you haven’t already would you do a tutorial on making bass music in the likes of Cartridge, D-Operation Drop, Cult Cuts, De-Tu, Substrada Etc. That sub heavy super minimal shit? I’m having such a hard time understanding how they make their sub so big and maintain so much space?
@bunting I think you should do smore snappier cuts and a bit of genZ editing (like Noah Samsen for instance). Not just cuz it would fit, but more time in editing makes any video age better
not sure if you're gonna see this comment but, just wanted to say that you should have more subs considering the quality of your content and i hope we'll see you again soon bro💚
The part you lose me at in all these tutorials is the post processing effects. I cannot figure out how to pull this shit off in cubase. I got the Le version with an Amp a while back and decided to dip my toes into production and sound design and im on a super tight budget so im limiting myself to using free plugins and trying to learn the entire process from thought to mastered track before i upgrade . I can only add up to 4 effects on an individual track. I can use groove agents sampler function to add up to 16 more effects per sample through four auxiliary amps, but the effects of each Amp are separate and I'm not sure how the effects work when stacked through resamples like that because I haven't found a tutorial that takes that approach and I keep forgetting to try it myself because I'm adhd as fuck and having too much fun dicking around with vital and not saving my sounds lol.
Oh my God I just found the automation settings and holy shit bro. Alright, this is a game changer and I am one step closer to getting the sounds I hear in my head out into the world.
Your videos are amazing first of all. Thank you for doing what you do, and I was wondering what initial preset you use on your vital wavetable? Mine is just the standard flat note that comes with the free download whereas yours has more of that gargly or bass sound to it.
The key to EQ is to scoop out frequencies from sounds that overlap to give every sound it's own space to occupy. It tends to be more about taking away frequencies than boosting them. A good example is taking away some of the low frequencies of your kick with a high pass EQ shape in order to let your sub bass shine through, better. Not to say you shouldn't boost frequencies sometimes. Boosting frequencies is often useful for sound design, but when you're mixing your song, identify where the meat of each sound is and give it space to shine in those frequencies. It takes time and practice to start getting better sounding mixes. Also, watching seasoned producers do it and learning from their process. Using an EQ with a spectrum analyzer is crucial so you can visualize what's going on with the frequencies. This way you can tame those nasty peaks that making things sound like crap, as well as identifying a frequency band that could use a boost for some added character to the sound. Every sound should have a purpose and make space for it to serve that purpose.
@@dnbsoldier7259 highly, highly recommend replacing pretty much... All... Of your lowpasses and high passes with low shelfs and high shelfs. Once you try it on a few things I think you'll probably be shocked how much depth you've been unnecessarily removing from your sounds. I use cut filters for LFO wobbles and sound design stuff sometimes, but that's really it. I do wanna second doing mostly cuts and few boosts. It's almost always better (ime) to cut everything BUT the thing you wanna boost, than it is to boost the thing you wanna boost. Clipping sucks unless you want it, but in that case you'd be better off going a different route to clip your signal anyway.

my vital is the same as yours, make sure your hitting a low enough note (e0 works)
You're probably just not going as far down the keyboard as he is. Try dropping an octave or two or three and see how it feels ;)
