27mm left hand thread puller. thread it in deep as you can or threads will rip out.

*1-Shot slinger* we have not had that problem. You do want to thread it on untill it bottoms out on the threads, then back it off half a turn. Thanks for sharing your expertise with us. We appreciate the feedback sir!

And how do you put it back on is the question? Is it as simple as just sliding it back on?

Yep! Just put the flywheel back on in the correct position and torque the nut to the proper value.

Just the way you're using the ratchet I don't think you're very experienced with using tools
