- Here is my Dissidia Final Fantasy Character Tier List.
I go over how effective and strong these characters are in both the single player and multiplayer versions of the game.

Dude, this was THE fighting game me and my small circle of friends played non stop. There were around 5 (up to 8) of us, all neighbors, and had exactly 2 nerds who owned a psp (2 others eventually bought 1 each the group had 4 but this was from me convincing them to play Monster Hunter). Ahhhh those were the good days...
Despite hating Tidus' character (just didn't like his looks) he was my main as I was admittedly a hop step abuser (I literally grinned when you mentioned it), goddamn I just love how fast it starts up. And looking at your list, man no wonder I had a hard time, I also played Kefka, Gabranth, Golbez and Shantotto. Sadly we never got into duodecim due to irl circumstances. Anyway thanks for making my brain remember some good memories.
That is one awesome story and I am glad to see more people who played the first Dissidia game lol. It was just so fun and I love how it was Final Fantasy yet at the same time such a unique fighting game.
Hop Step is God on Tidus lol. And that speed and mobility was just amazing. Very unique and cool choice of characters too, never would have expected that. Usually it's Cloud or something lol. I'm glad you got to remember some awesome memories.

Yeah, I can also play the regular characters (Cloud, Squall, Zidane, Sephiroth etc) but most of my friends play those so me and my other nerd friend started playing the 'lesser known" chars to mix things up (he was a beast on emperor, but only in small, enclosed maps)
Btw, remember the dissidia misquotes? Like Gabranth's "Buy my sword, or this paint!" or Exdeath's "Get the fruit" aww shi I need to find that vid again, it made me laugh so hard.😂

@@J7Jase i played the first dissidia game but rarely got to play irl people as much. i think i only did it once after school and it wasnt that serious lol. i used WoL. it wasnt until duodecim when more people in my neighborhood picked up the game lol. but the first dissidia was great!
@@sorinnoctis652 The old Omni Air Dash was just so fun with how fast it was and the EX mode builds. Both games were just so great!
I love how you actually play the games you upload about and you have actual skills! The Dash Feinting with some of these characters and combos too! Very good job!

I love this game and Duodecim! My favorite EX burst is Exdeath's, the way the music cuts out with his epic line that is awesome in both English and Japanese. Masterpiece.
Edit: I remembered after finishing the video that I used to try playing as a few different characters when I'd play with my friend. I mainly used Squall but also used Gabranth, Exdeath, and Cecil. The Cecil part was my challenge mode because I would only use Dark Knight Cecil. I would fairly often win but it was never easy to do and practically never won when he used Firion.

Fantastic choice and good taste! These games were so fun and good. Some of Square's most underrated titles. That EX Burst was really cool. Just so many works of art.
Great lineup and choice. Yeah Cecil is an underdog for sure but when you win that feeling of satisfaction is priceless.

As for PVP matches I think I have a few saved from a long time ago and one I edited.
So I may upload those.
with Cecil you can do Searchlight (paladin Bravery air) into Paladin Force (paladin HP air), and for some reason it connects if you do them fast enough. When I first played the game in 2008 I used to think it was bc the game thinks of the Searchlight proyectiles as the one from Paladin Force and lets you connect both attacks

Very good tier list this is a game I loved playing growing up. Could you also do a character difficulty tier list?

But I would say Jecht and Exdeath are by far the hardest in my opinion
I am such a huge fan of Ultimecia's playstyle. Constant aerial bombardment, some good rapid fire spell moves to keep them out when they make a move to rush in. Patiently waiting them out.
Many characters play very differently to a traditional fighter, you really have to appreciate the depth of this game.
Yeah the PSP games were just so great. I love them, the series lost its charm with NT I feel mostly because Square didn't develop that game.
If they ever bring it back, I hope they develop the game because they did an amazing job.
Favorite's were Cecil and Vaan. Having the two forms or alternate attacks when switching made each character pretty fun to play.

Needless to say Dissidea NT fell very flat for me.
@@J7JaseCecil is definitely difficult to make work so I don't blame the D. Some of his more useful abilities come at higher levels. Didn't see Vaan though. How would rank him with his switch attack tech?
@@o-shawnspecific80 Yeah he is. Pains me to put him there as I like him a lot as a character in FF4. I put Vaan in B. I didn't mention it in the video but on small maps I feel that is his strength as he is much harder to avoid, can break guards, and if you can master his combos he can be a force.
Funny... I've been getting back into a Dissidia kick myself lately! My own two favorite characters to play as are Cloud and Firion. I find that Firion is actually pretty good at catching enemies with his throwing axe or rope knife, and then following up with the Double Trouble HP Attack. And once Cloud masters his aerial attack that can lead into Omnislash version 5, it is generally pretty easy to catch enemies in that and do serious damage. However, to this day, I still have not managed to defeat Chaos at the end of the "Inward Chaos" chapter. If you have any tips on that, they'd be welcome!
As for the worst characters to play as... ExDeath seems really slow, and can only really attack with blocks & counters. With Ultimecia - and even worse with Kuja... I can rarely ever get many of their attacks to even land!
@@bardinblue9830 Cloud and Firion are great choices so awesome job. I suggest using an EX Force Build with Gold Hourglass.
I have a video scheduled in the future for it so I hope you subscribe. It will take some grinding but it can help you defeat Chaos and nearly all enemies.
They are actually quite insane. Just need some practice and they are very good in pvp. A bit more difficult to use vs Cloud though I feel
Oh man I put hundreds of hours into a Japanese ISO of this back in the day before it got a Western release. Couldn’t understand any of the text so I wasn’t able to properly use/figure out most items or anything like that, but it was still so much fun at the time. PSP era is unmatched as far as handheld gaming goes.
So many PSP games were great and even the handheld was amazing. Too bad it didn't get the recognition it deserved.

It is Final Fantasy's fighting game on the PSP lol. It was super fun and good.

Squall ranks as the 2nd fastest hand in dissidia next to Onion Knight.
You mean his Beat Fang? Tidus' Hop Step is faster but is just overall more difficult to play imo
I would say my tier list is different, but since I never played online and it has been forever since I played it, I can't really retort. Though I did main cloud in dissidia and had fun with Prishe and yuna in duodecim.
Speaking of, DuoDecim characters?
It's really fun playing vs a player. The whole dynamic and approaching a battle was just so different and fun. It was hard to predict what they were going to do.
And I can't confirm anything but wait a few days on Duodecim I think people will be surprised

I watched part of a video, glad you are playing FFT, but next time keep your comment relevant to the video if possible. I think you are playing and presenting it in a way that if someone follows what you are doing, they will have success in a playthrough. (Which is what we ultimately want.)

This was the best game on psp. I hated how they handled the ps4 version.
Square Enix should have developed that game in my opinion. The main reason why the PSP games were so much better, they felt like Final Fantasy games with the character interaction and etc.
@@J7Jase agreed. Watering down the game play and completely deleting the customization options made me not want to play it. Plus the net code was trash and you could never get into a match with anyone and the switch from 1v1 to 3v3 literally killed the game imo.
Kuja was so overpowered in this game lol

How do you play this online ?
I actually have no idea in this day and age. Back in the day you needed a psp, ps3 with a wired connection and you play it through by connecting via the Ad Hoc Party App on the PS3.

His EX Mode is incredible and he is fairly easy to play in the single player. Multiplayer it can be tricky.
I don't play Smash so I can't say anything about that. But he is much better in Dissidia 012.
