Thank you for bringing up the VM30!! I have the VM20, and I’ve been comparing it to a few other budget mics I have…and I like it WAY better than all of them, including the Rode VideoMic Pro R (and my former favorite, the Shure VP-83, which I still use for my podcast, so yes I still love that one too).

Fun video. I see you’re a Panasonic shooter. I’m considering the S5ii for a hybrid camera. Compared it to A74, Z6ii and R6ii. Would you recommend the S5ii at the current time or something else? Would you recommend the 20-60 kit lens? What other lenses would you strongly recommend for it? Wide/fast prime, short tele-zoom, mid prime fast etc. Many thanks.

Honestly the S5II is hard to beat, especially in the used market. I can't sing the praises of the sigma 28-70 enough either, it's my favorite lens. This whole videos was shot on it except for the last scene
