Thanks to this under 2 min. video, I fixed my dryer myself and saved money. My motor pully broke. I had no clue as how to fix it. A new pully and belt $20. I'm proud of myself because I'm a real klutz.
cHRIST, how simple can it get! instead of a dryer belt video this should be a "How to make a repair" video. Short and sweet. hell yeah!!! crap. my pulley on the motor was snapped in half. i aint changin that. scrap yard!
A loud squeaking noise in a dryer is often caused by a worn idler pulley or worn drum support roller. We recommend that you unplug the dryer, open the cabinet then check those parts for wear. If you have a Maytag Centennial dryer, this video shows how to access and replace the idler pulley in that type of Maytag dryer: ua-cam.com/video/HbzadgiDDN4/v-deo.html. Here’s a video that shows how to access and replace the drum support roller in a Maytag Centennial dryer: ua-cam.com/video/LqZHpdtVt8E/v-deo.html. If you have a different type of dryer and need help opening the cabinet to find the cause of the squeaking noise, let us know the model number of your dryer and we’ll provide disassembly help.
Excessive friction could prevent the drum from turning. With the dryer off, open the dryer door and manually spin the drum. You should be able to spin the dryer drum using moderate force. If it's difficult for you to spin the drum, you'll need to find the source of the excessive friction and replace parts to eliminate the excessive friction. Unplug the dryer and check the drum glide bearings for wear. Replace the drum glide bearings if they're worn. Check the drum support rollers and replace any roller that isn't spinning freely or is damaged. If the drum spins using moderate force, then a weak drive motor could be preventing the drum from spinning. We hope these tips help. If you need further assistance, let us know (and give us the model number of your dryer).

Would be helpful if you pointed out if the belt went Ridge or flat against the drum
same way it came off. (ridges have to go agin the dryer or they wont go into the pulley, huny bunz
Appreciate the video mate🤙🏾
Very good video gracias Señor
If my dryer is turning but squeaking very loud, would that be a belt problem? Or would it be something else?
