And this quick note from a not to nimble eighty year old on belt replacement. I appreciate the video and the belt placement at the three minute mark. Thank you. However, I laid on the floor for over three hours struggling to get the dadgummed belt on the way you suggested in the video. Lastly, and I resorted to a few tricks of my own and took out the top two front corner screws that held the top in place. Lifted it up to vertical and taped it so it couldn't fall down. Next, I removed the drum completely, threaded the belt over the drive pulley and the large white idler pulley. Pulled the belt upwards to the left and taped it secure. Next I replaced the tub, pulled the belt tight and eased it over the drum, right side first, then over the top and down the left side. Works like a charm.. You can thank me later. Much easer than the video.

Thank you for posting this. I’m a tech and this was my last call on a Friday (today) I’m really good with dryers but this was the first time I’ve seen this type large idler pulley. Took a screenshot at 3:20 and felt my way through. Thanks for posting this

Thank you. I just fixed the dryer. I was a little confused about belt placement but saw the previous marks on the drum. The pulley part I had to watch multiple times but got it. Thanks for your help.
Don't forget to check the drum
support rollers and clean and vacuum inside.
Good idea
If you mess up and put the belt on with the black rubber groove side against the drum, the belt will last about 5 months and then break. Ask me how I know lol.

What's time name of the metal part of the motor pulley

If the dryer doesn't turn what does that
Drum doesn’t turn, or is that the dryer won’t turn on?
I have been working on a dryer that is old and very different than yours. After a couple of hours tried taking off the top that helped none. Thought i could access the drive pulley and tensioner by feel laying on the floor. Unfortunately there is major ducting making that access impossible. Its not the money to replace its the idea my old one may end up in a land fill. Here its 90 and its taboo to put out a clothes line. Suspect its written in the covenants.
