    I did a roadtrip in May 2024 in Iceland. 10 days, 10 different campsites and this tent was always perfect. Rain or wind ? no problem. This fresh & black thing is working... maybe to much ^^

    Its a good tent for speed and for taking home popping up to dry off. If used with a campbed with short legs you can store stuff under the bed. the twin door is a nice thing on hot days. The porches while small are usefull and you don't need to crawl through the porch to get to the bedroom just butt in boots into the side porch and butt onto bed. i use a timberridge folding campbed not the lightest or smallest but seriously strong and quick

      Thanks for that, I’ve used it a handful of times now and use my Z bed camp bed it fits perfectly, I do find the tent a little claustrophobic at times to be honest but I think in all it’s a great little tent

    What’s a great video? How many times can you say two seconds?😂 I would love to know how waterproof it is as I’m looking at getting one myself and I’d love to know where you get your pop-up awning from?

      Hi just butting in on the conversation. This tent as far as i'm concerned is a little gem . I had mine 2 years now and last week i camped up Yorkshire . I rained for a solid 4 hours and was bone dry inside. It is great to put up and to put away . Do yourself a favour and purchase one 👍

      Its great in the rain and when you get home you can pop it up unpegged to dry out anywhere

    how easy is it to take down and put away? camping for first time with my toddler this weekend! thanks for video :)

      It’s easy to take down just pop the two sides after taking pegs up then just gather it together and stuff in the bag, the bag is a good size so it fits easily

    Does it have rain fly?

    • @SmallholdingUK
      @SmallholdingUK  4 місяці тому +1

      The top is fully waterproof and at each door it can be pegged out a way in order to put some gear out of the rain but it’s not got a peg up flap to get under no
      The last camp I had was wet and I did find when opening the door to get in in the rain it did get the inside floor a bit wet until I was in and zipped up

    Looks great! Im not sure whether to get this or the 2 seconds xl pop up tent. How tall are you, I'm 6 foot and worried that the one you have will be too small.

    • @SmallholdingUK
      @SmallholdingUK  7 місяців тому

      I’m only 5’7” but there’s a fair bit of space each end I don’t think at 6’ you would be touching each end

    • @luc1ferblack
      @luc1ferblack 5 днів тому

      the XL popup is good but is lower and i think single door so not great on hot days. The popup is very big to carry ok in a boot not ok on a motorbike as an example. Im 6ft and i fit. i also use a campcot type bed so i can store stuff under the bed. The size and door entry makes getting in and out very easy

    2 minute tent more realistic

      Yes but still seriously quick. I have one and by the time my mates have debagged theirs and laid it out mine is up pegged and my gear is inside on my timberridge folding camp bed. Great if you arrive in the pouring rain on a motorbike

    The 2 second tent is actually round and much larger. I don’t think you actually have the 2 second tent. I have one and it literally takes 10secs but another 5mins to peg down.

      You made me doubt myself for a second 😆 so I’ve just checked and it’s 100% the Quechua 2 second tent 👍 printed in big letters right on it
      Maybe you’ve got an older model?

      There's quite a few different 2 second tents from quechua.

      There's a popup version that doesn't have the word "easy" in the title - the easy one is the umbrella style, the others are traditional circle/popup style. They really need to have model numbers ;)
      The one you're referring to doesn't have actual mesh despite being a dual layer tent, which is a shame as it really limits the ventilation - they're apparently mainly used at festivals use and the like, not for proper camping like this (could?) be (I'm imagine the umbrella style mechanism in this would get destroyed in a festival scenario).

    Vestibules are terrible and who wants to sit in the dark when it's raining during the day?

    • @SmallholdingUK
      @SmallholdingUK  5 місяців тому +2

      This tent is far to small to sit in during the day it’s literally just a bedroom for me during waking hours I’m out and about and before bed sitting by fire pit

    • @SmallholdingUK
      @SmallholdingUK  5 місяців тому +1

      @@mrmods7912like I say in the video this tent is just a bedroom that I put next to my pop up gazebo
      I also only camp at the Smallholding so I’m usually pottering about in the veg garden or in one of my structures if wet

      Kinda a silly comment. Its a blackout small dome tent its for people to sleep later than 5am and with dual doors to stay cooler during hot days. There are a ton of bigger pole tents including the arpenaz 4.1 walk in blackout tent for people that want to build a tent and have the space at home to dry a 14ft tent out. I have both. Both serve a different purpose. If i an doing a motorbike tour i want this tent as if its raining i can put it up superfast while in full bike gear and be inside. For a solo tent its a good size.

      It was literally the first time I put it up

      @@SmallholdingUK Its not a pointless comment. You should have named the video initial opinion or first time setup. It isn't a review video because you have not reviewed it. You showed how to put it up you dont have any opinions of using it as you have not used it. This isnt a review video.

      @@luc1ferblackit’s pointless to me, and that’s what I’m saying, I don’t understand people who take the time to post useless moans at people I mean how boring must your life be to spend your days trolling around moaning at people on the internet 🤷‍♂️
      So maybe I shouldn’t have called it a review, my bad but does it really matter? Has anyone suffered? Is anyone hurt? Is anyone offended? Probably these days!
      I see videos I don’t like or I think are silly all the time but I’ve never left a rant comment because as I said to me it’s totally pointless
      But thanks for the comment and I’m not having a go I just think doing that is pathetic
