Love the look of the light coming through the thin wood... Pretty cool.
Really a great looking lamp especially with the light turned on & wood grain showing through! Man, I thought I had a lot of wood working tools...
Awesome use of the grooves for the panels. That technique would look great as a large mirror frame. A great video and clever work.
Thanks Gail! That would be a good application!
Cool lamp. Love the effect the thin slabs of wood give. Might have to build one myself. Thanks for the inspiration.
Impressive work! I would not have expected those strips to be so translucent. Thanks for sharing.
Peter F thank you!
This is great.
We toss so much stuff to the curb, everything has a use or second life.
One mans trash is everyone's treasure it just takes a craftsman to get it there.
This man's a craftsman. ***** you get 5 stars for this. I'd give 6 but I'm out of ink.
Thank you very much 🤗
That is great using the thin slats and getting the wood grain showing through.
Thank you!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 you have a great workshop and congratulation for your job!
Very cool Lamp! Well done job!
That turned out really nice! Great vid nice project!
Simple design (although not so simple to build) and beautiful!
Brilliant! I'm always looking for things to make out of pallets.
great job awesome looking lamp.
That is really creative and looks so cool when lit up. I like how you did the frames and panels. Great project!
Thanks Steve! Was going for a lantern look with the shade.
Lovely job, I'll put that on my must try list.
Very Nice Lamp, like the grian show though with the light, great project build for the up cycle challenge, best of Luck, got you added
Thanks Sterling!
Wow, amazing. I want one!!
That is very nice. The shade it amazing.
Thank you kind sir!
Love it. It's a great piece.
Thank you.
That's gorgeous man.
Eric Lee Thanks Eric!
Nice job! One could combine this lamp building method with Mike Fulton's wooden playing cards to make a cool game room lamp.
In this video, the wood panels look a bit like leaded glass when the room is dark.
Good observations! They could make a cool combination. Thanks for tuning in!
Wow beautiful 👍👍👍
this is awesome
Excellent!
Está hermosa esa lámpara saludos desde México
That’s DOPE!!! ✊🏾🙏🏽
Thank you ✊🏽🙏🏽
Great job and video. Thanks a lot for Sharing. Cheers...
Sergio Medina thank you! Cheers!
Very nice, If I had only half the tools you have :-( Keep inspiring though, I will be acquiring in the mean time!
Thank you! I recently started to realize that it's not always the amount of tools you have, but how a creative mind can use them:)
very cool lamp!
Thank you Fabian!
Very cool!
Wow!
could you please give me the measurements and angle of the pallet dismantling tool. thanks ken
Subscribed and liked.
How thin did you rip the block and what was the finished thickness after the sanding? Idd like to do something like this with LED lighting at my desk. Thanks!
+Mike Sallow i would just cut it as thin as possible and hold it up to a light source.
Can someone explain why he uses the jointer on the edges and ultimately ends up squaring off the edges on the table saw anyways? Thanks
I squared one edge on the jointer so that I could run it against my table saw fence to then create & cut another square edge. Thanks for the inquiry.
+Construct Icon Thanks for the reply, that makes perfect sense. Great lamp as well.
hi, do you have som drawings/plans for this lamp? like how long is the small sheets and stuff like that?
Unfortunately not, but because everything is rectangular it should be relatively easy to measure & fit things to your own size. As far as the transparent pieces, just cut them as thin possible & hold it up to a light source. If you see light coming through, then you're on the right track. Hope this helps & thanks for watching!
hi, do you have the high and widt then? I thinking if doing triancels instead of rectangular.(the sheets)
Nice, How thick where the panes in your lampshade?
Thank you. I cut them as thin as possible on the bandsaw. After that I held it to the light to see what it would look like, then proceeded to cut the rest that thickness.
Construct Icon Thanks. That's a winter project for me!
i wanted to know what the favorite sport for short people was :( i love family feud haha
Haha..can't remember the top answer, but I like that show as well :)
Omg! No lie! A rerun of that particular show came on tonight & the #1 answer was Soccer! Lol :)
aw what was the good sport for short people?
Soccer. ⚽️
Check out my pallet wood lamp;)
I have 3 pallets at my disposal. I think I'm gonna try and make something like this. I don't have a planer but I'm sure I can manage. Thanks for putting this up its an inspiration.
you need to sell that tool
If I had a hat on, I would tip it to you. Excellent video. I liked the finished product as well. You could possibly cut down on the excessive amount of talk,........ lol.
Thank you much for comment & view!
THIS IS NICE BUT I DONT HAVE THE TOOLS...THX LOVE FOR SHARING
Katherine Allen Thank you! I remember about 12 years ago when all I had was a Dremmel that I owned. I used it to make several projects & after awhile I wanted to make bigger/better things. Little by little my interest & tool selection started to grow (and not have to use someone else's tools). If you are interested in making things I hope the same for you. Many great deals & good people out there to help you started. Best wishes!!
THANKS LOVE I ONLY HAVE DRILL, CIRCULAR SAW, SANDERS,DREMMAL WITHOUT A CORD AND A FEW SCREWS BUT HOPEFULLY I CAN MAKE MORE THINGS LATER...HEADBOARD AND SIMPLE NIGHTSTAND ALREADY AND AFEW RESTORING OF ITEMS...THANK AGAIN LOVE CANT WAIT TO SEE MORE OF YOUR VIDEOS
Katherine Allen awesome! Thanks.
Hey cousin it's gogo. Amazing vids!!! If you want more views use more keywords. God bless!!!
Thank you Go-Go! Thanks for the tip as well!
Safety third.
This time I'll use woodprix instructions to make it by my hand :)
Very creative! The glow from the wooden lampshade is beautiful.
Thanks Chris, and thanks for tuning in!
Dang! That's really wonderful. Thanks for sharing your creativity and talent.
thats what im talking about! very nice pannel shade would totally make me wanna kick back and chill for a while;)
Wow, that's a very cool lamp.
That is badass. Nice work man.
Making something out of nothing at all! Extremely clever resourceful person. I'm impressed. Ps take no notice of the Trolls. By nature they're are glib, shallow jealous envious people whose only aim in life is to reduce everything they see down to their level, because they instinctively know they are non achievers and don't want anyone else to achieve because it shames them!
So very true! Thank you so much your tuning in :)
To construct Icon
You're very welcome! Ps how much for the lamp? 😊
Nice work! Thanks for sharing.
With stain , looks great 👍
Holy shit, that's one hell of a beautiful glow!
Haha! Thanks Sean!
Beautifully done! Those thin slices turned out perfect for the shade material. Good thinking!
Thank you!
Awesome project! Well done!
That is really cool. I watched a video of a guy who turned a lamp shade out of a log. I wondered if it could be done without a lathe..... Now I know.
Thanks Danny! That's funny I saw the same video and thought of this as an alternative. However during the process I may have stumbled upon another way... I'll try it out and if it works I'll be sure to share it:)
ambitious and creative project, so worth it
Thank you!
Soo nice!
Looks great! Well done.
Thanks J.D!

Dave
Thanks Dave! Although I've been making stuff for awhile, videography is somewhat new to me. Your feedback means a lot:)
very impressive!
Duct tape fixes EVERYTHING !!!!.....cool vid
Very nice, lots of work :)
adam pinson thank you!
Beautiful.
Thank you.
wow great lamp
That's nice if I had the tools I would try with different woods to get shaded effects when the light is on like holly with walnut and cherry.
Good idea!
Awesome!
Thanks Lacey ;)
perfect.
well done, great skills
Thank you
As always nice job! JOE
Thanks Joe, I appreciate the feedback!

Awesome, I'm very impressed.
Thanks John, appreciate your comment.
Construct Icon I really like the almost Japanese feel about you lamp.
Awesome i like it, i think we should give it a name and that's call Romantic lamp.
This is amazing
Creative Freedom thank you!
Really Awesome!
May I ask what kind of wood did you use to make the thin piece and what it's thickness, cause they look just so amazing that I want to DIY one
Thank you! I made them from the blocks of the pallet wood. I cut them as thin as I could and held it up to the light to get the desired effect!
Nice one ;)
fantastic
Thank you Mick!
Awesome i like it, i think we should give it a name and that's call Romantic lamp.
Nice name, thank you.
cool project
Thank you!
Nice work of art. How thin would you say those panels are?
Thanks! About 1/8"
+Construct Icon Cool, thanks.
cool, like your style of videos
Thanks! As a new video creator that's like music to my ears. Although I'm still learning how to use my cameras, it's nice to see that my videography (thus far) is being well received!
Construct Icon you're welcome, I know how much work and time a small video can take to film and edit it. Do you use iMovie? I use iMovie and it looks similar. Keep the videos coming!! :)
iMovie it is!
Dear Construct Icon,
do you mind if i try to make like this? and sold it out in my country? its a beautiful hand made!!!!
Yes you can and thanks for asking. All I ask in return is to be safe in building & give some credit to the designer who gave you the inspiration & idea. Other than that, be constructive & be prosperous:)
Subscribed!!!
Thank you!
Сама лампа так себе ( А вот обилие инструмента впечатляет!
nice and romantic
+1 subscriber :)
ахуенно.
a push stick will help you keep your fingers longer,I strongly suggest the use of one, other than that very nice work
All of my woodworks I made with stodoys. Google and try it.
I see you really don't value your hands/fingers at all.....
Clearly you don't understand the difference between what you see & a camera angle. I'm pretty good about safety, plus I love my fingers more than you know. I'm so glad that you are concerned about my well being. Thank you:)
Construct Icon I understand camera angles alot better than you know...and I really don't give a shit about your well being.....with all that said, keep those fingers clear.
+Lee Goins ok, thanks again
And make sure you stay off his lawn, too!
+Steve Seay lol!
