The older 2017-2020 Elantra Sport had 48 HP advantage on map 7, including Forte GT.
The new Elantra N-Line has only 28 HP, according to Racechip, which is much lower
The newer smartream has a tiny ass turbo compared to older gamma it replaces.

4:23 If you are going downhill, putting it in neutral will use more gas to keep the engine idling than just coasting in-gear downhill, since in gear, it would turn off the injectors.

@@AndrewCreechwell, tuning will be available for the N-lines August 2nd. N75 and SXTH posted updates for the N-lines. Also, for the love of God get a downpipe on the N-line and wake it up
I used a race chip called vitesse motorsport for my 2014 ford fusion N/A 2.5L with full bolt ons and it made a world of difference i couldn't believe it

I have upgraded to a 2024 Sonata N line but when I had my Kona n line at the 1/8th mile track I was keeping up with a N Elantra

I was matching other videos and people were saying the map number doesn't equate to more.
I have a JB4 on Map2 with 93 octane. I also have an exhaust and closed box cold air intake. Also have a lower engine mount and an oil catch can. You’re doing this car dirty by all means just saying lol.
Does the manual says anything bout changing spark plugs prior to install? Cause most tuning shops require that.
I’m not sure , but lookout for the next video we took care of all that.
The race chip does this car dirty. You also have a shitty cold air intake. If you would have a had the JB4 or anything besides that tuner you would actually have something great.

Turns out the smartstream 1.6 is a garbage platform. Stock turbo is tiny and maxed out, is only good for about 35whp. Older gamma 1.6 you can slap in the BASE racechip and make 32hp. GTS is good for 48. An actual tune with boltons ur gonna be like 270-280 wheel.
@@davidcohen2762 Yeah thats a given im sure people with their warrenty about to expire will be giving this a shot. The most I have seen pulled from this platform so far is high 200's with FBO. I have the 2.5T Sonata N-Line im just waiting for them to crack the 2.5T smartstream so we can get to moving lol but not really sure how the transmission is going to hold up to be perfectly honest.
Race Chips isn't real tuning. Get a cable, laptop, find a dyno, make your own maps, tune for E and higher octane properly

Racechip is a real tune. I had 2020 Forte GT and the car was notably faster with racechip than before

What in the heck is this chip these must be all base maps? Just get. And e tune if ya don’t wanna shell for Dino, or blow the b up

@@reloadingdontshoot1 lol yes ethanol e-85 tune would be crazy but requires new injectors usually, what I meant was a remote tune called an e tune, find a good tuner who has dunk tuned a similar setup, then you use your tuner (not sure if your would run hp tuners or what) to record different driving conditions on the road, 3rd gear pull, 1,2,3 pulls, whatever the tuner asks for and you send him back your data logs, he adjusts it, then re sends it, you do this until you get a perfect final revision, it’s similar to street tuning except by starting out with a dyno tune of a similar car, and fine tunes it for your setup, chip is fun for sure, but usually sacrifices horsepower qnd smoothness, a dyno or
E tune will give you the true perfect tune for your engine and setup, just my 2 cents
@@LaptopCivic yeah what these guys are doing isn't real tuning. Off the shelf chip tunes suck compared to actual custom made maps done with a tuner
