  • its pretty. At this point in my whitewater career, Section 9 is not super difficult - but it also was a low ish water day. Its a run that I have heard about time and time again, and was super excited to finally check it off my list! The run is divided into two parts, Barnard to Stackhouse, and then Stackhouse to Hot Springs. We would only be going to Stackhouse this time, due to time constraints. Can't wait to see the whole stretch one of these days!

Half slice boats are loads of fun, especially when you learn to stern squirt them! I recently learned how to do that on my half slice axiom and I am in love, it makes everything so fun. Plus theyre usually great for surfing waves and holes as well! Great video as always :)

I'm in a RPM, still working on the stern squirt. Getting close.

Yup! Half slices are my favorite kind of boat haha! Still working on getting a consistent stern squirt tho! I’m looking around for a small rewind that I can buy

I love my rpm! But I do also need a more modern half slice too!

I haven't been on yet, Is the river much deeper then the nanny? I am always hitting my stern on the bottom of the nanny. Heal up! Glad to watch another video!

It’s usually deeper, lots of rocks to splat! We ran this at low water. Graham knows much more about it than I do

Hey Jer, Another great video! I’m just getting back into this white water thing after 10 years. I’m 54 and I can still do class three Rappids. I’m looking for a new boat and was looking at a remix 69 I know they’re super stable but don’t have much edge what did you think about it?

Hi! Glad you’re getting back in!
I personally loved the remix whenever I tried it. I haven’t paddled it too much so I can’t speak extensively about it, but the short time that I had it I really enjoyed it. Would definitely be a good boat to start back in with

    Hey Jer!
Curious. Is that a Phantom you are paddling in this video? If so, what are your thoughts? Is it a more advanced boat, or does it lean toward beginner?

Hi! Yes it is a Phantom! I personally really struggled with the Phantom, as its a really big boat and I don't weigh enough for it! It likes to be driven fast, and is most stable when at speed.
I would probably not recommend it as a beginner boat, as it really requires active paddling to keep it under control! This is doubly so if you are smaller like I am. It's a really good boat, just wasn't right for me!
Anyways, thanks for watching! Hope I answered your questions!
