    Thanks for the torque specs!! Couldn't find them anywhere. An AP rep at Shot Show said barrel nut to 55 lb-ft in another video I saw for the m4e1 fyi

    Those are not set screws. And for those planning on ordering an AP upper this is the enhanced version. If you get the standard E4m1 upper you will have to buy the enhanced barrel nut

    I got my handguard just now and realized I didn't get a barrel nut, is this normal?

  • @ej2659

    Can you tell me what the torque spec is for the barrel nut. I'm guessing its the normal 30- 60 ft/lbs. Just wanted to see if it was any different with this upper. Thanks

    Great vid! Question...I bought my are several years ago. All I know about the upper reciever is that it is a bcm. Looking to buy this handgaurd while on sale but not sure if it will work with my upper reciever. when buying this hand guard it gives the option of choosing for a standard reciever or enhanced reciever. How do I know what kind reciever i have? Thnks

    • @NikhilJoshi88
      @NikhilJoshi88 4 роки тому +2

      Choose standard. Enhanced is a line of aero upper receivers. You don't have that

    What finish is on the aero? Did I miss it?

    • @thelonestarpatriot
      @thelonestarpatriot  6 років тому +2

      Joe Gay It’s a Spartan Worn Cerakote finish that was used on a limited run by Aero for their monthly builder sets but it should be available by most offering Cerakote.

    There is an allen head set screw that comes with this receiver/handguard combo that I can't figure out, and wasn't addressed in you video. It is covered when the hand guard is installed, but even if advanced all the way in, it is in the way when you go to slide the hand guard over the M4E1 receiver. Any help would be appreciated

    • @thelonestarpatriot
      @thelonestarpatriot  6 років тому

      Can you post a picture of the set screw location on the upper receiver on my FB page? There shouldn't be anything impeding the handguard from sliding over the barrel nut and seating flush against the upper.

      aluminumfetish - Yes , you're correct. Keeps dust cover pin from backing all the way out. Or remove the set screw to take the dust cover pin out if replacing dust cover
