I use the eraser end of a pencil to install the mag release.

Go to a hardware store and get yourself a clevis pin to help install the drtents for the takedown pins. I use a ¼" for my AR15.
It's basically a takedown pin with holes in it. Helps to hold the detent while you install the takedown pin.
There are definitely some differences from an AR15. I normally put these on Rumble though so screwtube won't cancel me.

what is the last tool called for the back take down pin I don't see them on the website. holding up my build
Use a pencil eraser instead of the punch to install the mag release. So, if you do slip, the eraser won't scratch the finish.
FYI the Allen wrench is no longer included only the Allen screw is included.
Would this lower work with a lr-308 upper?
Just an FYI for anyone looking to do this Aero AR308 build…
While the lower parts for SOME AR308 receivers are supposed to fit, I’m finding out the hard way that several aftermarket-slick components actually do not.
The only reason I purchased these products was because Aero was sold out of their lower parts kit, and has been for some time. Other retailers I searched were sold out as well.
1. Strike Industries AR-10 Takedown Pins. Front pin does not fit. Too wide. Packaging does state that this pin fits better on newer Gen5 models. Rear pin fits great.
2. Odin Works XMR3 mag release. Button is not long enough. You can get it to thread, but the lever will have too much play and will not function as intended.
3. Phase 5 XBR V3 bolt release. Functions, but fit is loose/sloppy compared to AR-15 fit in PSA or JD receivers.
Hopefully this helps anyone looking to do this build. 😞

So i bought the palmetto lower kit to use with my m5 let's just say there's a few things not fitting off the rip I'm ready to give up that little screw for the smaller take down not here

What is the Allen key for the bolt release? I ordered the lower parts kit but it didn’t come with it.
0.05” Allen key. I had to go to Home Depot just to get one that small because mine didn’t come with it too

Edit… my lpk didn’t come with the .050 Allen wrench for the rear takedown pin, so I had to order one 😢

When I put the rear detent in, the spring has so much pressure I can barely get that screw in, and then there's so much pressure on the pin that the only way to get it to budge at all is a punch and mallet... think I just got a fluke?
Cut the spring down to about 3-4 mm exposed from the receiver and double check that it's threading straight. It can start at an angle
What size is that Allen for rear take down my kit didn’t come with an Allen

whats the difference between the M5 and the M4e1?
M5 is for the 308, m4e1 is 556.
Are there any other AR10 / M5 parts makers aside from Aero? Every time I search Aero is all I can find
AR 10 parts kits are relatively common across manufacturers. However, M5 is Aero Precisions model of AR10. You will not find another manufacturer that produces parts kits for Aero Precisions design of the M5.
