Good to hear the repair was flawless. Thanks for sharing your experience, Jason! 🤘
You are welcome and thanks so much for watching.
Thanks dude for the video! I’m about to ship my back pack. Now I know to expect!
Damn. Life time warranty is great but NOTHING takes 11 weeks. At that point just send the customer a new product. Altra sold to North Face makes me nervous too. As over priced as REI can be, I love that I can walk in with a damage product and walk out within a new one within minutes, no questions asked. Thanks for the share!
Yeah had I known it would have taken that long I would just have done it myself. I got tired of waiting and got another pair (different brand). Never been to REI the nearest one to me is 125 miles away. Thanks for watching!
Altra did no sell to The North Face. The North Face and Altra are both owned by VF Corporation. VF also owns other brands like Dickies, Smartwool, Vans, and Supreme.
Dude thank you, appreciate this! I got a light weight puffer jacket I guess you could say, it says Eco hoodie on the tag but that doesn't describe it very well, anyways, $230 brand new! I was in a hurry and had a bunch of money so I got it thinking i was gonna take it back if i didn't like it, well I actually loved it, not the price tag but it was a good feeling coat to wear, unfortunately I leaned against some concrete and it ripped the fabric! I hope to God they repair it
Yeah I hope they fix it for you 🤞. That's an expensive jacket to not be able to use.
Any update?
Never FAILS!! Time is always the issue...sadly, the REI return policy is so worth it, I know it’s a long way for you to go, but waiting sucks more! Good to know, for future buying brand choices...Thnx for the heads up! 👍😉🙋♀️Lisa
Maybe I should make the drive down there sometime just to check it out. Might be worth my time. Thanks so much for watching 😊.
Jason Outdoors...you def should...the desert 🌵 is amazing! You’ll want to stay😉🤝👍👏🙋♀️Lisa
@@FollowingTheAgees lol.. I meant make the drive down to REI😎. That said my brother lives in AZ so someday I wouldn't mind getting down there and hike some of the desert 🏜️.
Jason Outdoors...ohhhhh yaaaa of course! We’d be glad to show you around if you did tho! 🤣😉
Interesting that's pretty serious wait time but they all have their own issues you can scroll back to my channel and watch for had to deal with the outdoor products on a lifetime warranty on a book bag and it was mess took forever granite in the end I came out pretty good but still. I think they purposely make warranties a pain so you won't use them
I think you're probably right. Most people don't bother with the warranty and the ones that do end up have a bad experience and don't want to deal with it again. I put that video in my watch later list and I'll check it out this evening.
I went to Sequoia National Park for hacking last week and I was wearing my Northface snow-boot on the path to Moro Rock. As I was walking, the black water-resistant part of my snow-boot broke into pieces and the material kept falling off along the road. I could not believe that this was how Northface boots behave. I brought the boots several years ago in an Any Mountains Store in Saratoga California. I have worn it about 10 times so far.
Please see attachments for the photos of my broken snow-boots. Even now I still cannot believe Northface sold boots in such poor quality. Northface has only one year warranty on foot wears.
Just mailed back my north face mcmurdo parka last week. Zipper broke and some teeth were missing. So far haven't heard anything back from them yet.
Hopefully they don't take their sweet time.🤞 I need to do an update to this video.. I have some of the stitches from the repair coming out 😞
@@JasonOutdoors maybe they will replace or send gift card
Still haven't gotten any response from them yet. Almost a month
Have you even gotten notice that they received it? I know it took them as month just to tell me that they got it.
@@JasonOutdoors nothing yet approaching a month in a few days
TNF warranty failed me immensely. Barely used boots. Almost look new. Common issue of cracked plastic/rubber. Because I did not have a receipt, they would not replace the boot although it was clearly a manufacture issue. They also tried to claim a 1-year warranty for footwear, even though it was not a "renewed" product -- bought brand new from Eastern Mountain Sports. Wasted $20 on shipping and they simply mailed the boots back with a note declining that it falls under warranty. HORRIBLE.
That's terrible. Based on my experience and what I'm hearing from others I'm not sure if I'm be purchasing any more of their products.
Can you give a link for the tnf warranty website?
www.thenorthface.com/en-us/help/returns-policy
How do you prove that you are the original owner?
If I remember correctly when you go on the website to do the warranty form you just have to say where you purchased the item from. I don't remember being asked for a recipe or anything.
Did you damage the jacket yourself?
No the zipper on the pants just went bad and started pulling apart.
@@JasonOutdoors oh ok, I just accidentally rubbed my Nuptse puffer jacket against a railing and ripped it and I’m not sure if I could get it fixed for free.
@@emreboz1 did you manage to get it fixed under warranty? In a similar position myself
@@Mxrshmallow no I didn’t even bother, I just patched it up myself
North face have me a new pack in two weeks.
You got a pretty good turn around time. 👍
Wow- really disappointing turn around. (Note to self for future reference...)
