    What are some companies you have had good warranty experience with?

  • @maxmiller6862

    Did you check that you were willing to pay $50 for the repair if it wasn’t covered. I want to send my stuff in but don’t want to pay if $50, but didn’t know if that’d affect what their decision is

    • @ToolDeals
      @ToolDeals  9 місяців тому

      I did only because mine was beyond repair. But if you can just say you don't consent to that if things are still the same. This was a few years ago I did this. My mindset was the $50 was way cheaper than buying a new one.

    Thanks for the info Brother! I took back a rain jacket last Wednesday, a Revolution Denali and Enzo Pants this Wednesday. The Supervisor shipped all 3 out Thursday (was supposed to send 1st item out last week). I had no idea I could possibly receive a gift card! The rain jacket, I just wanted a brand new 1(horrible shape)(liner worst than yours). The pants I wanted replacement, actually took them to ZIPS and paid $30 but seems/inner liner still came apart and hole in pocket opened up again. The Denali had a hole inside left outer pocket and inseam came a loose. That I wanted back but man if they will give me eGift Cards, I can just purchase something 2022/2023! Glad I saw your video. Happy Sabbath and may peace be unto you King

      No problem! Glad I could help! Yeah man, I ended up with TWO new coats with about $70 extra out of pocket. The gift cards even work at the outlet which is where I went.
      Eddie Bauer JUST stopped with their lifetime warranties which is incredibly disappointing but North Face is still one of the few who still do it.

      @@ToolDeals Brother I just left The Outlet in Potomac Mills to drop off a pair of X Frame, S6K and S8K Boots! I’m praying for the eGift Cards just to free up some space and potentially get some gear for my 5 grandchildren, son and “Lady Friend “. Man as I was driving off I remembered a raggedy pair of $225 gloves in my trunk that my mother keeps asking me to get rid of. I’ll take them tomorrow or Tuesday when I pick up a $900 Parka(2nd 1) with 60% off. I was discussing the Timberland Lifetime Warranty with the Young Prince at the register. He wasn’t aware but did tell me Vans, Tims and TNF are all affiliated! Yeah I know about Tyson’s being snobby. Oh about Eddie I see you know about their pedigree! I use to rock and sell those back in 1990. I truly enjoyed them until they started changing the style up in 2000 because so many Young Youths were getting killed. I was skeptical about NorthFace because I was so use to Eddie but had to “Jump Ship “. I think I started rockin’ Eddie Bauer in 1993 when Biggy Smalls started rapping about it. Peace King

      Yeah, it's been a struggle to find the right mic for the right room. I've gone through 4 already now!

    This is an awesome story!! So dope that you got so much from this all. I am going to try the same thing and hoping to have a similar experience!

      I hope so! They really took care of me in the end. Even if you don't get cash back, you shouldn't have any problems with getting your coat fixed free or the gift card.

      Glad it was helpful! I failed to emphasize that you can buy Northface products from discount stores and they still qualify for the warranty! As long as you bought them new. I see a lot of cheap north face items in Burlington, Marshalls, etc.

    What if you damaged it yourself? Would they still fix it or replace it?

    • @ToolDeals
      @ToolDeals  2 роки тому +1

      That's an interesting question. I think they assume their customers are reasonable people; and a reasonable person wouldn't just damage their own coat. So if something happens to it, like a tear because it was snagged, etc. one could argue that that was due to poor stitching.
      If you spilled bleach on it, well, isn't it supposed to be waterproof? How then did the bleach stain it? You get what I'm saying? I'd still try to send it in and just mark on the form that before they make repairs that will cost you, they reach out to you for approval first.

    • @emreboz1

      @@ToolDeals I actually read their warranty and apparently they won’t replace or fix any damage done by the user, which is understandable but when paying almost $300 for a jacket you would expect it to come with a better warranty. Companies like Patagonia always fix and replace jackets that are damaged by the user.

      @@emreboz1 That's good to know! I was looking at a Patagonia jacket yesterday. More than I wanted to spend for my current situation though lol. I do have Eddie Bauer jackets too. I'm kinda thiking it might be the same as North Face.

    Darn Tough socks!! Have life time warranty. They really hold up well in my work boots, but still they will ware out. But they do honor the warranty, Don't feel bad about dropping $25.00 a pair. Overall great experience. Don't mind paying for stuff up front when your taking care of.

    Did you have to send back the inner liner coat that comes with it too or only the shell? Thanks in advance

    • @ToolDeals
      @ToolDeals  2 роки тому +1

      Greeeeat question and yep. It wasn't TOTALLY necessary. They said if I just sent the shell I wouldn't get the full amount back. Since I didn't want to risk what they may or may not give me, I decided to send the entire thing back so I could make sure I got a proper replacement. The inner liner was so old it may not have fit anything new.

    So did u get the original coat back and the gift card

    • @ToolDeals
      @ToolDeals  2 роки тому

      Nah, they keep the coat. Likely refurbished it. I just found out two things.... 1. Eddie Bauer discreetly got rid of their lifetime warranty. Now all they have is a 1 year return policy. 2. North Face now carries a lifetime warranty on their refurbished coats! Used to be 1 year earlier this year. (I was going to use my gift card for a refurb, lol)

    I LIKE NORTHFACE FLEECE JACKETS NOT THERE COATS, I LOVE COLUMBIA COATS, WHILE AT WORK THE STUDENTS WOULD COMMENT GREAT COAT, AND I KNEW I WAS ON TREND, THANKS FOR THE TIP ON THE LIFETIME WARRANTY 🫖

    • @ToolDeals
      @ToolDeals  3 роки тому

      Yep! To me, they're the same. I had a really nice Columbia that someone stole unfortunately. But quality is the same, but Columbia has much better prices! I hear their warranty experience is the same as well. I don't think you can go wrong with either.
