Sold one with black dial a few years ago and regretted doing so ever since. Just bought another one at almost double the price I sold my last one for... Ouch. Cannot WAIT to have it on. It's an absolute beauty.
You should do more reviews like this. It was great.
Nice review. It would be interesting to get your thoughts on some of the complicated Royal Oaks, maybe the RO Chrono, or Dual Time, I am a big fan of the Skeletonized RO also
Thank you for the video! If I may offer some constructive criticism on the production of the video itself (as has been noted elsewhere in the comments):
The audio leaves a lot to be desired. You really need a decent mic and converter. Even a $60 USB mic would work, if you can find it in your budget. Additionally, you NEED something to protect the mic from "plosives"-- the sound a mic diaphragm makes when a burst of air hits it from certain syllables. For those of us with sub woofers or headphones, it makes for a thunderous boom every time you say a "P," or "B." When your name is "Paul Pluta" and your reviewing Audemars Piguet and Patek PhilliPe, it haPPens often ;) If you need help setting up a passable audio set up, send me a message and I'd be glad to point you in the right direction.
Again, I mean this only to be constructive, so that you can get the most from your expertise and hard work. Cheers!
That is a beauty!
The Offshore series is a bit exagurated as a whole, but there are a couple watches in the range that look very classic such as the original Safari and the Diver. I must say that even though I prefer the classic look I find the original Royal Oaks far too thin and the bezels too small. The large brushed bezels on the steel offshore are just so satisfying to wear and hold, it's not possible to go back to the classic series.
I use to hate this watch but the more i look at it the more i think i might have to buy one for myself
amazing watch but price has been jacked up after discontinued.. and 15400 is an ugly successor.
I am temped to save up for an AP RO next. I guess can justify it that it is really good value comapared to the much more expensive Patek Nautilus, which is only a RO riff-off anyway.
Damn that watch is wicked.
Listen to this video whenever you feel like buying a new watch, Archie. Was it really worth $6000 for a watch that worked properly for 1 week and you then had to sink more than $3000 into to repair?
might want to do something about your videos' sound quality
You what, mate? Is that "first" in Thai?
