This one is much nicer than my old one and doesn't go off as much. My older one I've had for years and it felt like every minute or two it was going off because of other cars. Love the arrows too.
Since the RL360c is out of stock so often, I'd bet they're rehashing this one using parts that have supply chain availability and wrapping that in marketing-speak so they can get some more sales volume. SQM on RDF took apart the original Max 360c which uses a Spartan 6 FPGA (unfortunately underutilized in the design) and, surprise surprise, it's out of stock everywhere with massive lead times of years. So, we may all be pleasantly surprised and they may have improved something but most likely this is purely a supply-chain move masked in marketing mumbo-jumbo. When you're testing this, please use actual police radar guns, especially K band and low power K band guns instead of just driving around and seeing how quiet it is. Many of Escorts recent detectors have real K band response issues that were induced in the name of quietness. The point is that quietness is great, until it fails to alert to a real threat. Don't take Escort's word for increased range/quietness/pretty much anything. Test it. If you need help with setups to do so, there are resources available. ;)
Its wierd to me how so many people seem so wrapped up in K band performance instead of Ka. Guess it all depends where you drive. I care much more about Ka.
@@MattH-wg7ou Yes, if you don't face K band, you would obviously care less about that. The thing is, all the top detectors perform adequately on Ka band, it's K band that's difficult. There is so much k-band noise out there in the form of blind spot monitors on cars, door openers at Walmart etc that detectors need to filter out and it neuters K band performance when not done properly. It's not easy. So when you face K band at all, it's very important that a detector filters well so You don't get desensitized from false alerts, but at the same time warns you in time so you don't get caught with your pants down. The particular detector here in question had a big problem with that.
@@OBeerWANKenobi thanks for the reply, that makes sense. I didnt necessarily know, or take it for granted, that all the high end ones have KA down pat. Grateful K isnt a huge threat for where I am! Just got the Max 360 MkII after selling my Max 3. Had a 9500ix before that. Great range on KA, But it got too noisy with falses. So if I don't need super high end K performance I should be good with the 360MkII it seems.
The Blendmount is still the best. The sticky suction cup is better but I’ve still had it pop off the windshield with driving kind of nerve wracking having a $1300 MaxCam 360C coming off the windshield. I bet there is going to be a MaxCam 360C MKII soon, always happens when I decide to jump.
Have 2 9500 passports and bought r8. Hated it- always going off and returned. Is this better than max360? I don’t need to use apps ect,just want plug and play and lockout false
By far, better than the 9500i or ix. Far fewer false positives (and yes, none of us have the 9500 models any longer because of this as well). Not the fault of the detectors for they were just fine at launch. It's just that IVT surpassed their capabilities rendering them unusable (mostly). The original Max 360 (pre-360c), yes as well. Then a small step up from the Max 360c in some ways. More of a "this works better for more users" rehash of the 360c. -- Zack B.
Unfortunately even with firmware update Escort radar detectors still have issues with responding to instant-on radar, and for the money there are cheaper models that have better range than the Escort MAX 360c MK II. Escort claim that the Escort Max 360 c MK ll has 50% more range is all hype! All tough it doesn't have a rear antenna in front detection the Uniden R4 puts the Escort Max 360 c MK ll to shame at both range and instant on response time. The filtering on the Escort Max 360c MK ll is the best I ever used in a radar detector but it comes at a cost less range and beware the radar detector will lockout real police radar. There's a lot of room for improvements but right won't recommend it.
I can’t get it to alert me! I see the arrows light up and it talks and all but as soon as I get hit I have 0 sound. I pressed and held the volume button and it makes noise then but while getting hit with radar it makes no sound. Junk
Sounds like it could be an issue within settings. I would open up the app on your phone and pair it to the detector. View what the current settings are, and change what is needed. -- Ryan S.
@@Mase32 it depends what you want the redline is always going to have the best range and the redline has anti-radar detector detection. There could be a redline 360C MKII coming, they usually update all their products to the same version. Like MaxCam 360C MKII Max 360C MKII and Redline 360C MKII. If false alerts bother you Redline isn’t the detector for you though. I don’t believe you can lock them out. I could be wrong? Max -> Max 360C -> Max 360C MKII
@@Mase32 Neither. Stick with Uniden. Escort ditched RL360C and haven’t updated it in over a year. They always ditch their products, at least Uniden doesn’t. If you do want to stick with Escort though, which i do not recommend, go with the new MKII. Unless you need your detector to be undetectable, MKII will be your best bet.

Uniden R4 and Radenso Ds1 have better range . But no arrows I would rather have range then arrows.
