In my opinion, that would be the 80s with hair metal. It had barely anything other than a one note base line and power chords in guitar, think Judas Priest, Dokken, Accept, Motley Crue. The 90s had much more variety with grunge, including Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Sound Garden. They definitely used much more than power chords compared to the 80s bands.

Johnny b Goode’s riff was the first riff that got me into rock ‘n’ roll, and this song will always have a special place in my heart. Makes me think of my grandad as he showed it to me when I was very young. Ever since then, I love rock n roll and metal music. Thank you grandad! 😁❤️

It was the decade where many started playing semi acoustic and electric guitars, which was responsible for the birth of rock and roll. In the right hands, even a 3 pickup guitar could produce a variety of new sounds without any effects pedals.
In the 80s a ton of metal was heavily incorporated in classical musical ( Yngwie malmsteen. I'll see the light tonight). But your tone is good, your picking is really good but your speed is a little fast. But give the credit if metal raising the bar for complexity, syncopated and superior playing
