I just realized that every kids that very good at guitar are young Asian kids, so in a words of a Wise man said "If you ever good at something, there will be that Asian kids that doing better".
it is just that especcially in China, the former one child policy has created a society in which parents put a lot a ressources into one child, especcially when they show a talent early, that might allow them to step out of the working class. Those kids get basically drilled. They spent up to 8 hours practicing playing the guitar every day from the moment they can hold one.

Jeffry
Hi Steve, about your question "how did he (Jeffrey) learn to play guitar like this": at least a bit he got from a 150 year old textbook called "25 progressive studies" by italian composer Matteo Carcassi. It's a standard that basically every classical guitarist has to work his way through which strongly implies that your new friend has classical training.
He is playing Study Number 9 in 2:45 and study number 25 in 10:09 so he clearly mastered the whole book - usually something that takes you serveral years. In 7:05 he is playing "Recuerdos de la Alhambra" by Francisco Tarrega, it's kind of signature piece for classical guitar due to the tremolo technique (and it's beauty). This piece is something, that a lot of non-pro classical guitarrists (me included) do not master ( at least not properly). So even given if this little guy had training since he could even hold a guitar it is unbelievable how far it took him in this few year.s
Thank you very much for your analysis of my child. Yes, I have taught my son to practice the entirety of this textbook. Currently we still have three pieces, and it took three and a half years to practice all of this book.❤
@@maituoguitar2297he's stunning

You're the reason I started playing guitar! I've got nothing but love for you Steve and thanks for this amazing content! ❤❤
My goodness, little Jeffrey can play everything, can't he? 😅 The way he's playing at 8:44 literally reminds me of Steve Vai! I swear, this new generation of young kids have evolved on a whole new level when it comes to playing music. I honestly don't even think it's just because they have access to lessons online that weren't around before. I think they're getting their skills and natural gifts from a higher power or something. Like Eddie Van Halen always said, he spent a lot of time practicing but at the end of the day he gave all the credit of his gifts to "the Man Upstairs." There's an interview where he explains that and he also mentions it in the video he did with Jason Becker. I admire his humbleness so much. Seriously, he's so inspiring and that's definitely one of the reasons why he's one of my favorites. You're really humble too Stevie, and that's one of the reasons why I love you (besides you being my number one). 🥰 I think you underestimate your guitar playing abilities. You're already amazing now, but I'm serious, one of these days you're gonna blow your own mind with what more you can do. You better believe it. 😉
Btw, the timing of this video could not have been more perfect. I've literally been battling with myself for the past few weeks to just pick up my guitar and start playing and practicing again, because I haven't been feeling very inspired lately, but this video was surprisingly helpful. So I'm taking this as a sign to start practicing again. One of these days I'm gonna show the world my musical gifts/abilities. I'm cereal (serious) balls. I've been holding myself back for way too long. 😅
P.S. The way you get so worked up is so hilarious. 🤣 Also, you know I don't even have to say it, but I really enjoyed hearing you play guitar today. 😊
This is a sign!! Emily needs to pick up the guitar again! Then maybe one day we'll be able to play as good as a 6 yr old!! 😃
Seriously though, I appreciate the kind words. Hopefully these kids stay humble!! 😬

In the vein of the Monty Python Four Yorkshire men sketch - 'Tab books? You were lucky!' In my day we had to slow a record down and wear out the grooves to learn something. There were no tab books in the early 70s.
Slow the record down? You were lucky! In my days there was only one radio and we had to wait for Mr. Edison to sing _Maria had a little lamb_ and we had to gut the cat to string our guitars.Twenty Centuriers presumptuous.
@@drvonkrauss490 you were lucky! I had to hunt for my strings. Sometimes I got killed
There is a story by Paul McCartney where he tells that he and John once tooka a bus to another part of town to leaarn a new chord from someone.

Kind of mythology. The metal zone pedal is still the number one selling pedal in the world and when you set it properly it sounds great.
It does I have one myself ,,, and a metal muff
I use a Keely modded Metal Zone. I use it to boost my mesa amp with distortion at 0, level maxed, and eq around noon. Its gloriously thick.
Sitting it in front of a semi is not proper setrings? 😂
Setting it properly means bypassing the preamp in your amp. use the fx return
you have to put it in the effects loop of your amp for it to sound good

I’m definitely not good
2:10 the little boy was saying Seizi that is the guitar name. that i think is from Tagima brand
8:01 I'm going to defend the Metal Zone for two reasons, it actually sounds in the amp Effect Loop if your amp has one and the second reason is that Prince was using the pedal live from 1992 til 1996
Most of the old tab books were wrong too lmao. I'm an older gent and i feel slighted, envious but happy with how things are going

Nothing like a child prodigy to knock you down a few pegs 😅 I'm convinced sweet Jeffrey here is really like 40 yrs old. That's the only logical explanation for this.
