Exactly the same problems as stated above . None of the people I play with have the app so can’t easily submit my score via the app? Ridiculous!! Subscription cancelled… app binned
I played a round today with two friends. They aren't Scottish golf members or open play members - I added them as guests. At the end one had to sign the screen but when I press save it keeps coming up "attester/marker details required". What do I do?
Hi Daniel. You'll be able to get them to enter their information by touching the Attester Name, then choosing "Enter Info". Make sure you're using the latest version of the app. This newer video covering scores within GB&I will also help: ua-cam.com/video/VcDR9XYSNec/v-deo.html
I am a member of two clubs in Scotland, how do I change from one to the other if I want to submit a score ? One club appears but the app won’t allow me to change it !!…also there is no create facility on my app !!!
The UI is a big improvement but what is the thinking behind the attester suddenly having to be a member of a Scottish Golf Club who happens to use the app? I don't want to end up sandbagging competitions if I can't submit the majority of my scores. Or maybe I do, strange design decision that incentivises the wrong behaviour.
Am I right that i cannot get a playing partner to sign my scorecard if they are not SG app users? So my dad, brother, FiL who all live outside Scotland and have no reason to use the app cannot sign a scorecard if they play with me? Feels mad. Why is this?
Hi Paul, we've updated the app today, in step with the other GB&I governing bodies, to provide cross border scoring. You're now able to submit scores from England, Ireland and Wales through the app 📱 www.scottishgolf.org/news-detail?newsarticleid=1393
My home course is in Scotland but play most my general play scores in England. My handicap isn’t a true reflection due to to not being able to submit this scorecard. Stupid that the Scotland and England (including the rest of the Uk) don’t communicate to one another!

I don't understand the Score Diff. I understand conditions changes difficulty of course. Old days S.S. moved. If PAR 70, Handicap 4 , nett 69 . score diff 2.8 . Was the course playing 1.8 harder that day.???NO one can answer this for me
The 2 holes you didn't complete in the old app you can and a zero to the incomplete holes this app the square you enter your number has a .. 3 dot bracket top right press on that it will give you options 1 picked up 2 did not complete 3 ? I forget enter one of the options then you can submit your score finish and sign off
At the end of the round I don’t get asked for any attester information it just submits my cards then they just disappear, played 3 rounds towards my handicap already but says in the app I haven’t played any, tried contacting your support but just get irrelevant responses
As an OpenPlay member most of my rounds are with folk who aren't members of any clubs. The system let them sign off my scores last year. If that isn't this year then looks like the membership will have to be binned.
It's much more farcical than that. I'm English, but have my home course in the Highlands. Under the old App, I could find a course anywhere in the world and submit a general play score for WHS, signed by my son, who has an England Golf CDH number, or indeed, anyone at all whether they have a CDH or not. Under the new app, when I'm in England, I can no longer submit for courses outside of Scotland. Over Easter I ventured to the Highlands for 3 days of golf with my son and his pal. Whilst I could select the courses, I still couldn't submit any scores as they are both Golf England CDH. So, as with Golf England, the response to "how to be part of the World Handicap System", is to have an app that only allows you to submit from courses within your home country, and only if you are playing with someone from your home golf union. It's a classic IT upgrade. it looks vaguely nicer but has none of the functionality that you actually need. Golf Scotland have stated that the new app was created "because of huge demand resulting from a survey from clubs and individuals across Scotland". No-one I speak to remembers the survey, or the question "Is it ok if the world handicap system only works in Scotland?"

Just been notified that it now works across all U.K. so golf holidays in the U.K. seem ok. However I’ve opened the app and it still only allows scottish courses to be selected
What is the situation with “counting” and “non counting”? I played a few rounds and they were signed by a club member however on the app it says non counting. Please can someone explain why this happens? Also, trying to find a friend on the app to sign my card is a nightmare. I gave a playing partner my id number and I still never came up.
So from this ... I assume there is no 'Caddie' facility like your last app!! That's a shame as it was a one stop shop but instead making us use a different app or further elitism with need for a range finder/Garmin/Shotscope solution. I will use my eyes then!!
Completely useless. At least half the rounds I play are with members of golf clubs outside Scotland. Nowhere else on the planet is this an issue. Nor do you have to submit a score in real time on the course. Cannot believe I had to pay for this through my membership.
@@HenryRaeburn367 It might not have an annual fee itemised for the clubs to pay but the SGU paid for the app to be developed and certainly has some kind of support contract running as well for improvements and fixes. Why doesnt mine have a create button, the scorecard tab shows nothing and is empty. App is up to date

@@bobom1 seems that way. Same issue here. On the old app they could just sign my card, which was clearly a much easier setup for everyone involved.
The old app allowed you to submit general scores from England.
Why did you launch this app before that facility was in place?
Backward step.

How do you submit (a) a non return for a hole, and (b) a hole not started (E.g. round ended early due to poor light)?

The old app your playing partner could be a social player but now they have to be register to Scottish golf? Is this correct?
I believe the scorer had to have a Scottish Golf login which included those who were not club members but had subscriptions.
