Mark I've now watched this four times. In my opinion, this is one of the most intuitive videos you have made for. Such a great way of delivering the mechanics. People look at me as if I were a martian on the golf range. This is part of my warm up. It works so well. I have really been able to change my club path by using your idea with a bottle. Thank you very much for the great video.

Wow. Watched this a couple of times now. This is effectively the same swing that I have. And had it for years now. I am always hitting high shots and struggle against the wind. Great concept. The difficult bit will be be the change. I will be putting this into practise. Thanks.

One of the best explanations I’ve ever heard
I naturally stand the club up and swing out to in and despite knowing what it will do to my shot struggle for ideas or thoughts to get rid of it
Great vid - will share with my fellow slicers!

Amazing! As soon as I did the “bottle” drill I understood the feeling he meant!
Not saying I can replicate it with a golf club, but at least I understand what I’m trying to do now!

Great tip. I've hit some of the most crisp, straightest shots of my life. This thought has helped with every club in the bag from driver to lofted wedges. Thanks!! I know this will take my game to the next level

Brilliant drill one of the best things I’ve seen in ages. Working on impact and path over the winter, watched this earlier and headed to the range for a quick test tonight, immediate results so will certainly be working on this more and more. Thanks Mark!

  • @Cmanns05

Mark my swing speed is 105, my out to in path would always result in a good 50 yard slice. This drill literally added 40-50 yards to my drive since they fly straight. Hard to mentally overcome my bad habits but some range sessions with this in mind has helped tremendously. Appreciate your videos

I like that drill a lot! This past summer I focused on reving the engine and it helped a lot! This drill seems like it would have the same effect, just gives you a better feel for what is actually happening. Great stuff!

Awesome video Mark I tried explaining that to one of my buddies at the Golf Links and I didn’t know how to describe what to do and that is a perfect description and drill for his golf club flight - you’re the best… Thanks for all that you do- greatly appreciated

  • @Phychlone

I’ve just discovered this myself via trial and error. Instant cure for my slice and added distance to my drives. Great to see the facts behind it as well as an explanation for this low left misses

    • @jfair79
      @jfair79 5 років тому

Tony Lionnet how much “roll” on the downswing did you use in reality, just curious as to how over exaggerated the feeling with the bottle drill is vs an actual swing. Just tried this with a bottle and then a club and it feels good, obviously will know more when I try and hit a ball 😂

Love watching these types of videos. Could you show us a pov shot from what you actually see looking down at the grip? Like from your eyes looking down? I think that would help show the 2-3 knuckle grip a lot better.

Have taken you to task a few times in the past , not for the sake of trolling just making in my opinion valid points . It’s only fair however to applaud when warranted and this post is a classic example of for me; you at your best . Great post , concise and simplistic with a fantastic drill . Thanks for the content over 2018 , and best wishes to you and all the other guys for this year .

Mark when did you change from under armour to your FJ gear. Did I miss a video?
By the way your tips on the in to out swing has transformed my game and the shape of my shots particularly with my driver. Still working on the shorter game though, but it’s good to be getting my driver onto the fairway at leat 70% of the time. Playing off 7 now after a hip replacement in february 2018 so it’s been a challenging year.

Or like some positions to train in indoor golf facilities. Anyways, grest content! Happy subscriber since a couple of years!/K

great video however disagree with the pulling motion - shouldnt it be a twist, hands fall, hip turn (should be first) then hit? a pulling motion may encourage a steeper shaft?
On that note, happy new year and thanks for all the videos this year - it's been great! So great, everytime I go to do some career CPD, a video pops up, I need to watch it and dont do anything! Your fault as the videos have been cracking. HNY 2019

I struggle with this on bad days. Would gripping the club with the face shut have the same effect of pushing path without trying to manipulate the wrists? I struggle to disassociate rolling the wrists/bowed wrist with gripping the club too tightly. HNY by the way.

coegj you can totally still hit a fade with your wrist in a more bowed or less cupped position - look at DJ
Think face is already facing left (closed) just exit more left with the path by turning hard and keeping arms and body connected in a fleetwood kind of sequence
