- The future starts now! 3D printers are already producing highly complex titanium parts for the aerospace and medical sectors. Falkenjagd brings the first titanium frame out of the printer with the Aristos R. The original idea was to print the nodes, the final spun idea or logical consequence is the complete titanium frame with flowing transitions! The printer is busy for 16 hours - plus post-processing. The Aristor R is a dream for every gravel rider. The frame is designed for internal cable routing and comes with a low weight. When it comes to experience with the lightweight metal titanium, Falkenjagd Bikes is one of the best gravel bike brands on the market.
The Aristos R Gravel frame is made for a road bike channel Dreambuild video. The titanium bike rolls in this custom build on lightweight Parapera Carbon wheels with Schwalbe G-One tyres. The Campagnolo Ekar groupset is one of the best you could wish for in a gravel bike build. The Campagnolo 13-speed gears offer a wide range of ratios and provide plenty of gears for both uphill and downhill riding. The saddle is made by Selle Italia. This titanium gravel bike is a dream of a bike and the future of titanium frames.

This is the best looking frame I've ever seen. 😍
This is it. This is it. Thanks for this dream build!
Thanks!! 🤩
As long as robots can not assemble the bike like this, I still have hope ;-) Perfekte Arbeit !
Amazing, titanium material can now shaped almost similarly like carbon!
Magnifique piece of art! The beautifully 3D printed bike has no welding joints with internal cable routing. Me want!
you want a 20+ pound bike?
Stunning demonstration of what can be made where money is no object. In reality it's a method of manufacture which probably doesn't have many justifications other than someone wanting a titanium bike to look like a carbon one. For now and for many more years to come, I can't see this replacing metal tubes for many reasons, cost being far from the only one...
dreaming a dream 🔥🔥🔥
Magnifique vélo bravo 👍👍👍👏👏👏🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
I envy that guy. My dream job is to assemble top bikes like this. Awesome. Well done. 👍
I will never again have a press fit BB!! You absolutely need to grease the spine/cassette interface! My China made carbon fiber Carbonda gravel bike with Hunt wheels and 2x 11 spd GRX weighs about the same. But, yes, that frame and fork are absolutely a work of art!
Still waiting for the rohloff version....
Quite on the heavy side, but damn boee, that is a fine looking bike.
30% bike building 70% cable routing these days....
as long as we don't gave to plug in a laptop for the latest update to go riding all is well 😅
Stunning, speechless! 😍
a wonderful bike, I love it, congratulations 👏
This video only got my like because of that tire-valve allignment... !!!!
Wow sencillamente monumental 👍👍👍👍👍🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴
mine!!!!!
Bella bella bella!!!
Amazing that they can achieve head tube shape like that by using Titanium. And finally no carbon fork and stem!
I'd love to see some new videos. Will there be more?
If I could meet a female mech as skilled as you are, I'd marry her on the spot!!! Sweet build! pjw
Next time he's gonna wear a wig just for you 😉
Thanks for the great Feedback🤩
@@roadbikechannelHa!! Cheers Mate!!
*Quality*
Nice fame/fork , i would only do T47 .
I built a Full titanium road bike with a titanium Stem and titanium handlebar with Full dura Ace 7800 series with 2x10 speed, and its only 8kg. I think the Tyres and wheels on this build made it heavy.
I think it's more the wall thicknesses within the frame and fork that need to be thicker than they would be in tube shapes, which are almost certainly a lot thinner... I'd see this frame as a one off experiment to see if it can be done, but logistically I see this as a complete nightmare that ultimately isn't worth it.
I like my US made titanium frame from a builder with 30 years experience and who happens to speak English.
Hmm, great looking bike - but I question if a titanium gravel bike really needs semi-aero tube shapes and fully integrated cables ...
Also over 9kg seems WAY heavy: My own Ti gravel bike is sub 7.6kg and it didn't cost no $8,400 either ...something doesn't add up there.
7.6 kg thats a very light gravel bike...disc brakes?
Titanium is not the lightest but the strongest
This bike was really easy to assemble ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
What a bike. I want one. Does falkanjgd sell only the frame for R series. I want this, I want this, I want this
The frame and fork seem to be cast, not 3D-printed, or they will be much lighter. Such a combo is even heavier than a traditional tube-weld steel frame. If not, they need to “heavily” improve their 3D printing mechanical structure design.
Its more expensive than carbon fiber?
I’m enjoying the bike so far ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
I love the 3D-printed front end and the presence of rear rack and mudguard mounts, but wish for more, i.e.:
- all junctions were 3D-printed titanium, not just the head tube joints.
- the top tube had a slope of ca. 15º (I am no fan of dropped seatstays and horizontal top tubes).
- the fork had mounts for: 1. a crown-mounted headlight; 2. front rack / bikepacking mini panniers; 3. proper / full-coverage mudguards.
- mounts for a bento box and more mounts on and under the down tube; possibly even a few under the top tube for mounting a frame bag.
- the seatstays organically continued from the sides of the seat tube (at the top tube joint / lug!), rather than hideously bulging sideways from the rear of the seat tube (as they do here).
- there was a splitting version of the frame, utilising Santana's Z couplers for safe and easy travel. Check out the Z-couplers: they're low-profile, essentially invisible couplers that put the likes of S&S and Ritchey's counterparts to shame.
- All cabling / hydraulic hoses were internally guided (which appears to be the case, but the implementation could be a tad more minimalist).
- Leak-free hydraulic housings fittings were integrated (together with the housings) in the frame (see the 22Bicycles model with such fittings, called "Brake Breaks" and Santana frame Z-couplers on 22bicycles.com).
- A bit more shaping of the tubes cross-section (i.e., flatter top tube or slightly more ovalised down tube and somewhat flatter chainstay and seatstay cross-sections), reminiscent of carbon beauties' from Giant or Salsa (WarBird, My favourite!), Niner RLT RDO, etc. After all, no metal frame to date will match aesthetics of the carbon frame, and, while 3D printing of titanium makes it possible, perfectly round cross-sectional shapes of metal tubes are a bit of an aesthetic compromise, compared to shapely tubes' cross-section in most modern carbon frames.
- A dedicated, custom-made wheeled case with custom-cut hard foam was provided with the purchase at surcharge (i.e., Santana Cycles, S&S, etc.) for travel.
Give me all of these for under €5.000 - I'll happily acquire two frames (one suitable for a carbon belt drive and a Pinion gear box - and possible a Mahle or Fazua electric motor / battery; the other - a non-electric chain / regular groupset-compatible model).
Regrettably this bike isn’t on the company’s website yet for whatever reason so I’ll pose the question here. What are the tire clearances for this frame?
Tire clearance is 45mm, when using fenders 40mm
Beautiful, cromoly or aluminium ?
Titanium
Next build Polygon Helios A9X
Please 🙏
Why do they weigh the components separately ? Is it just to 'show off' how lightweight everything is or has it a more meaningful explanation ?
It's just our service to all the weight weenies out there to get the actual weight of all the bikeparts. The weights you get from manufacturer often tend to be a little of.
@@roadbikechannel ok also doch verschliffen, was beim Prototyp nämlich nicht war!
@@roadbikechannel That's quite a steep price hike from the €3.070 / €3.090,50 that the frame set was acquired for! I take, the build was meant for a FalkenJagd insider?
Dogma f please 🙏 or sl7 total energies 🙏
Keine Schanse dass nur 9 kg wiegt 🤨
8:42 epic fail bb
Nice build, but what a awfull music
Hambini would shit on that pathetic bb spin.
I think it is so pathetic because the seals of the Ekar crank add a lot of resistance.
😣 Promo`SM!!
Did i read it right?
The fram weigh 1.9 kilo?
heavy as fk, and that ain't right...
bring back light bikes.
What's the weight?
