You never know. Sometimes its easier to shift blame to a non biological parent vs the bio one who did it. Notice they didnt say she hit or hurt them. That she told their father when they did something they weren't supposed to.
@@daddyschoc Something they weren't supposed to? She told their father when they tried to eat food so they wouldn't starve. She knew there were children being abused in that house and if she was able to come and go as she pleased she should have contacted the authorities to get them help.
When a person screams "it's our time" or " it's my time" it means they were abused for sure. They were her victims.

We was not deprived of education we all was home schooled at some point what my brother was saying is we all wanted to go to college which some of us have done and been successful. At the time they just kept us from the environment of leaving normal.

I've seen other cases of sibling abuse and almost in all of them, they would try to teach each other the thinks they knew. I think it's kind of a way to be together you know?
Those children have grown into beautiful, strong, intelligent human beings. I am so happy their voice was heard on this show and thereafter. But that mom needs to be put away. Jesus.

Take a look at Lauras body language. Cant even look at those young folks in the face. Thank god those young folks have each other. May they stay strong and stay close and bonded in love. My sisters and I have stayed close as adults, we know what it is to be abused, never as bad as this.

She doesn’t even show true compassion for their hurt, just selfish disconnect.
She is not responsible for healing the trauma that THEIR FATHER caused & I would belittle them too if they sat up saying I’m lying about my abuse why would I have compassion for yours?

Any woman/wife/mom who watches her husband brutalize a child who has access to help but doesn't do anything to stop it is just as responsible and sick as the abuser. How dare you say that! Confronting her is a huge step of their healing process. It's clear she's fine and done healing because she wrote a book and does book signing and speaks at conferences and gets all this money because of her disgusting lies

The most messed up part in my opinion is that she’s making money off the story of their abuse. Since it was such a high profile case she has made herself into the hero of the story by “saving” herself and those siblings. when in reality, all she did was contribute to the abuse and is still digging a knife into those wounds by exploiting it for fame and money. She is still held up in the community as a survivor of DV and is still paid to speak at colleges and conventions.
She had a huge refrigerater filled up with food and when we was hungry she would not help instead she would tell on us so we can get beat while she sat back and laughed. The letter she wrote ti the D.A. of riverside was planned so she would not get in trouble.

The way she smiled at one of the siblings on the stage after he confronted her. Ugh makes my blood boil. It’s like she’s mocking them. She knows she’s conned the public into believing her story and knows that no one is willing to call her on her lies. So tragic that this woman will make money off their pain and their heartache and be called a hero while doing it.

I jus saw this lady on a show called “no one can hear you scream” telling a totally different story. And i sat there thinking the story wasnt adding up but I jus let it be. Watching this ep on Dr Phil makes so much more sense and fills in the gaps for me. She was okay with abuse until the tables turned against her!

In all likelihood, the woman over exaggerated her abuse but abuse is abuse. And she is the reason they were freed at the time ( so there should be some recognition for that). And it appears she's trying to use her experience for the good of others. The children need to forgive and move on - .easier said than done though.

@@maricamaas2326 She who? Their own biological mother did not help them and allowed the abuse to go on. A woman who was not related to them and considered a step-mother got them the help they needed. I would like to know why they don't have the same energy towards their biological mother who lived in the house. I can see if they blamed all the adults but their anger is just geared mostly towards the woman who alerted the authorities. This is just twisted.

Don't put that on her child, you would be just as abusive, all of those people were children, and they all suffered, including the kids that she brought with her, and yes there is a possibility she was telling the truth about her being abused as well, all they know is what they saw from their end, they don't know from the other side, in which from the looks of things she went along with him.

Where is their biological mother? Why didn't she alert the police of all the abuse going on in the house? I'm a little confused that this woman was the one who got help from the police but they are putting all the blame on her when their own mother didn't act.

It's hard watching this episode of Dr. Phil seeing my brothers and sisters talk about our life. My brother was hot with Laura and I remember speaking with him after the show aired.
This “mother” is just as bad as the father. Maybe worse for the lies and enabling.
I came here literally after watching her on investigation discovery. Something just didn't make sense about her story
