Right. Even if the other woman knows he is married, she is not the one who made any promises to the wife. She very likely doesn't know the wife, has no particular feeling toward the woman either way, and certainly has not pledged fidelity or loyalty to her. The husband is always 100% to blame, he is not a child who has been bamboozled into doing something wrong, he is an adult and responsible for his actions.
The wife knew about the affair all along, she just preferred to ignore it & continue in a lie for the sake of financial security.
Sadly financial security is a factor . If you as a wife don’t have a good paying job. That is true because they also think about the future of the kids. I was married and I am now divorced, and my spouse cheated. His so called old college friend didn't care about my feelings even after once I meeting me as a guest at my wedding reception.
