I bought a '24 BRZ which should arrive in May. The idea of ripping out my entire interior to the same extent you did seems wild. What was it like after the sound deadening was installed?
I just remember the same way they came off. It’s kinda like putting in puzzle pieces. They fit together. You could always record what you are doing so if you forget you can just play your video back
When you have the passenger seat up, the video cuts to the driver seat and you remove those connectors which are different. The passenger side isn't shown again. How did you get the grey connector on passenger side to release?
Better speakers will help the sound quality but you just won’t be able to push them as hard without the amp. Check out this video I made on an AMP install: ua-cam.com/video/eAiilGURlfA/v-deo.htmlsi=Uk88Iafrs7ehakL1
Thanks a ton for posting this! Going to do this to my 23’ in the near future! Car’s looking great! Can you share impressions on the highway/where it has made a noticeable difference? Anything you’d do differently?
You're welcome! Thanks for watching. It definitely helps on the highway. You definitely hear less road noise. I wouldn't necessarily do anything differently.
Hey bro how did you connect the dash speakers ? Did you get a harness adapter or did you remove the stock harness to the new speakers but I give you props that’s a big job on the sound deadening great job bro
Great question: I used the harness from the stock speakers and soldered them to the new speaker terminals. It took a while but definitely happy that I did it. Thanks for the sub!
@@Catalyst4k thanks for the info bro I had a feeling you used the stock one I couldn’t find a adapter harness will be doing it to mines soon keep up the great work bro 🤙🏼
@@Catalyst4k Can you have a conversation with someone at freeway speeds after sound deadening? I think that's the only thing I don't like about my BRZ....being able to talk to the passenger on the freeway. LOL.
Damn the headliner too? lol this makes me wanna get a gr86… I just hate how heavy cars are now but instead of waiting 10 years to be able to afford a used cayman I could do this… the noise is the only reason I don’t have one just way too much for a new car imo
Thanks for sharing this However it's not for me, no thanks!! If I'm gonna do it i would probably only do the doors and the trunk, after all this car isn't about luxury and quitness, ive had several sports cars over the years, i knew what i was getting myself into.
Nah I’ll pass. Car this low to the ground is meant to be louder thin layer of insulation won’t change that. Suspension design is the biggest reason Lexus drives like Lexus
That’s some real effort put in there.. well done!
Thanks, I wanted to make sure I was detailed!
@@Catalyst4k did you do any before and after in-cab decibel readings?
That's the most beautiful BRZ I've seen so far. Nice work
Appreciate it!
I did the same for the sound deadener but only from the back seats and doors
This is my daily driver. I'm gonna be driving with just one seat and no carpet/headliner for at least 2 days 😂.
100% I can't blame you. It took me at least 3 days of driving with a gutted BRZ.
Great video. I learned a lot from your video. Great work!
Thank you.
You’re welcome. Glad I could help!

Congrats! I'm sure you will love it. The sound deadening did help a bit. Not Audi or Lexus level but it did help.
Sick video, i know that sound deadening took some time 😭😭

how do you keep track of all the parts and how they go back?

Fantastic how to video. Can you give an estimate on how much square footage of sound deadening you used?
Thanks! Check the link in the description, it contains the exact roll I used. Should be all you need
I finished installing sound deadening this last weekend. The road noise is less noticeable. Thank you for showing us how.
Do you think it’s worth it to install speakers with no amp? I’m not looking for high volume just better sound quality

How much of a difference did it make?
I’d say it made a difference enough for me to hear as far as road noise. Not as much for my exhaust 😂

Absolutely will! If you plan on doing the full sound deadening, I wish you luck and patience :)
How much weight did you add to the car? Been considering this.
Crazy spec man! Very similar to mine altho I have the gr. Get a carbon ducktail!
I would say no more then 60 pounds. Definitely worth it in my opinion. I've been contemplating a carbon wing or a carbon ducktail. :)
Did the deadening make a big difference?
It’s not a Mercedes by any means however I did notice a difference. I noticed I didn’t hear my exhaust as much and the bass notes where better.

😮 So awesome🙌
Thanks!
No before and after?
I know :( I should have done it.
how much did you spend on the rolls? or how many rolls did you get?
Thanks for watching. I spent around $450 on one 64 SQ FT Roll. I used this exact one: amzn.to/3L5H0y6

Thanks for watching, Nate. The BRZ platform is definitely worth it. 100% recommend.
