Can 100% relate to you . I finally was able to join a quiet local syndicate water here in Devon in the new year, 3 acres 50+ fish up to 42lb silty pool with lots of pads. I have had 3 night sessions and done 3 day sessions , and blanked ,had one bite ,fish on but lost it. Hard to fish probably 2-3 caught per month. Odd member give me info , the older guys like to keep quite about their catches and tactics ,but I will keep on trying different tactics to bag a fish , any fish at the moment size doesn’t matter. Look forward to the time when one of my rods just rips off 🤞🤞
Yes Geoff sounds very similar! Not easy by any stretch but all the sweeter when they hit the spreader block mate. I'm sure you'll get amongst them soon enough 👍
I believe it’s a good shout myself Chris as the lake is very very weedy and lots of pads so a) fish safety being paramount and also for line lay reasons direct to the baited rig. Cheers for watching 💪
It's a necessity to have boats on any water big or small that is dominated by weed Chris. It's the only way to free tethered fish. With the best will in the world lines can break, and fish can end up in trouble.
Just found your YT channel. Great video - I Subscribed today👍 QQ, I live in the US and im new to euro-style carp angling. I also want to try River fishing for carp. When your using a solid bag in a calm section of a River, is there a strategy to how often you update your PVA bags? (How often would you recommend changing for a new one?). Also, would you suggest Mesh as well as Solid bags? (I’m not sure when to use which one🙄). Thanks much - Joe
Hello joe Thanks for watching the video! In a calm section of river with very little tow in the water you don’t have to worry to much specially if you are you using a nice mix of heavier substance such as boilie chops and pellet. So personally I would be waiting for a bite myself till I redo. If you feel like you should have had a bite then redo it basically or you will drive your self mad 😂 I would say as to type of pva then this would be reliant on the bottom you are fishing on. If you are fishing on any matter of chod, weed, silt on the deck then your better off with a solid bag as all the contents are nice and tucked up in a solid and can sit on most surfaces and your presented. If the bottom is hard (gravel, hard clay etc ) then a pva stick would be adequately suitable. All the best joe 💪
Good question.. Because it's nigh in impossible to cast a rig with a single cast into that hole in the weed. You'd be lucky to do it 10 casts and get the right line lay. Also, the fish are fed by boat a lot of the time so they don't ascoiate boats with anything else but food. Infact.. They often come to the boat to see what your doing 👍
Hey Ryan I would say it comes down to personal choice magus also a great hooklink. I prefer termit or flex for pva bags myself where as the next angler May prefer magus or enduro. Flex a great option if you want your pva bag rig to be as subtle as possible from the range.
Ive had a fish every other session in this pool.....but tbf,ive seen more lost than landed.....i think that says more for the angler tham the actual fish...no offense
@@andywhalley3669 thanks mate, yeah lead had dropped too else the slack line could have come into play more so even with a barbed hook. Cagey feeding and the wrong rig for my money but who knows pal.

Can't believe that such a small water allows rowing boats! 😆

@@riglocker9897 none of the club's I've ever belonged to have ever allowed boats
Syndicate no problems, public club waters nah!

Thanks for the advice👍
How does using a boat create less disturbance compared to a single cast ??😂😂

Why is termit more popular than magus for solid bags?

Where do you get your comodo chain core from please?

@@Mr.C.88 Not too sure mate, all work and no play at the moment unfortunately. Hope your good any way pal 👍
Qaulity watch
"I don't know how but the fish has gone" 🤔 think its because you gave it so much slack line mate 😂
lol, still shouldn't have happened unless the hook was barbless mate.
@@riglocker9897 yeah true, maybe only just hooked. Fair play, you made the changes you needed and got one on the bank, good angling 👌🏻
