tbh tdx shotgunner used to be good in only 2 modes(easy and elite); and now can be used to speedrun early game on all 4 main modes and used as a lategame healthpack in endless.

I use shot all the time so I rlly needed how much it got nerfed
Maybe B ranking because of the huge nerf, not alot of dps in late game, leaks quite easily, I dont think it needed a damage and firerate decrease. It was good becuase it had something that no other towers had, good early/late game, cheapish and splash, but now its just cheap and has splash.
That's similiar to ace, ace was just meta for everything as an early game tower, 10 placement limit, 1st 2 upgrades were somewhat cheaper, despite changes being small, it really put it away, now shotgunner was just as good as g scout, so yeah, both towers got their nerfs deserved, but it's sad that they got them.
I probably put it in a low a tear because the fact that it's just a lot more expensive and it's not as good early game still good it's just better options like Warden or something like that

I used the militant when it still had the reload feature, nothing is stopping me from using this.

I tried to find the fomula of dps per cost ratio
(Damage / Firerate) * (1000/Total Price) or
(Damage / Firerate) / (Total price/1000) = Dps per cost ratio *this is the fomula I used btw*
but the problem is that the number is always slightly inaccurate
Why use total price/ 1000, just use total price

I recomend using shootgunner alongside commander to make up for his slow firerate
I think its actually better than before lol
Also btw you were using it wrong, it can still carry till wave 9 without leaks, you set one to last and one to first, you were setting both to furthest which is why you leaked
Farthest is usually considered the best targeting for shotgunner
@@SomethingBoutEclipse yes but in the video you can see when the zombies pass through the shotgunners, they didn't target the ones in the front, because they are set to last or furthest, they could have been dealt with if corso just set them to first for a moment.
I wouldn’t say a huge nerf, more like a rebalance, the extra starting attack speed is great but I miss the starting dmg
My favorite tower has been nerfed, I'll cry into my pillow all night...
I literally use the shotgunner to beat my and someone else's molten run. I think I officially say that guy won now, cause I can't beat 11 minutes and 34 seconds, without skipping any wave

I was getting used to shot gunner and having more filing then I had in a while but now this made it bad😭😭😭
It was logical, he costs only 4200-ish coins and he was better than every golden early tower AND gladiator due to extra range, huge damage and easy to get hd
The fire animation makes up for it lol
It's still great when you upgraded it to lvl 2 or lvl 3.
Honestly, now i cannot grind pizza party cause i always use it for early but now after its nerf i leak and die way earlier

To the people complaining about this disgustingly broken INTERMEDIATE tower getting nerfed:
He’s an evergreen tower, costs just as much to buy as rocketeer (which got a buff, but still isn’t TOO great), farm, and military base, and performs better than almost every other intermediate tower. It’s a much deserved nerf, just like Jester, who-at some point-was extremely easy to obtain, so a majority of people got this putridly overpowered tower that can almost STUNLOCK BOSSES when the event was ridiculously easy.
Also, if you’re telling me you’ve only used Jester because it could confuse bosses, then you can still use the 3 OTHER BOMBS that work well for-I don’t know-EVERY OTHER WAVE BESIDES THE BOSS???
id say b tier cuz of level 3 lead instead of lvl 2 (only in hardcore but still)

Nah,if u grinding on 2020 you will know,and during the overhaul update I'm still stupid when don't even know how to grinding fallen mode,and I don't have any friends either so its just a solo match

Normal mode, molten mode,fallen mode,hardcore and Halloween event
The time where cowboy got nerf only give u 70 or 50 cash which it mean i can only use commander farm dj and ace pilot for ealry def

The nerf really was a bit too much in my opinion. I would give back it's buffed stats, but make it more expensive on lvl 3 and 4, and either have only lvl 4 have lead penetration, or just no penetration

The devs probably wanted to make it good,but not too viable in fallen and special gamemodes,which is wy the early lvls got nerfed.

Shotgunner nerf is messed up, they should've at least made it so that DJ Booth increases its range like actually this time. DJ Booth increases its detection range but not its damage range.

Just to remind everybody who gets upset by this, Shotgunner is meant to be an intermediate tower. This means it fundamentally should not be better than towers that are intended to be Stier (Golden scout and Gpyro come to mind)

I told someone it got a buff today (I didn’t even know that it got nerfed)
it destroyed my coin grind and now im strugling to get my first g crate (from this nerf i lost getting 3.8k coins per hour) and now im playing pw2 bc its my favourite mode and now from needing to play for 9.7 hours now i need to play over 13 hours i hate this update especially this one nerf for me the new gamemode is bad made molten give less money and all of that garbage

Honestly, in my opinion his still good. i put him in S tier due to it, and it helped me on intermediate to win with the military base , commander, minigunnner, and dj booth I've won. I've been doing intermediate so long that i lose a lot of time until I'VE WON I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SO LONG.

My ranking for this tower won't go more than B. But TDS developer team is smart, do you wonder why?
So if we look at the early game options: Paintballer, Sniper is trash Soldier and Scout is bad (but not trash), cowboy is good (imo) but not perfect but still you need to win badlands to get it. And i think these are all cheap options.
The rest is golden crate: Gscout, Gsoldier, Gcowboy (and we can maybe include Gpyro) all are great options but they need a lot of grinding. These are litreally useless grinding when we have shotgunner.
Shotgunner is arguably the best options for speedruns and also best option for early game for starters. When we have a tower like shotgunner why would i even grind for a golden crate or cowboy? I guess they realized this fact and if they want their game to be popular they should put many goals so replayability increases.
