I do love your videos and agree with all your points with the exception of religious division. We literally celebrate both Christian and Muslim holidays. We've never had a religious conflict in Ghana. Mosques and churches get built side by side with no conflict. I've even seen other foreigners make videos of how high religious tolerance is in Ghana. It's possible that perhaps the people around you are the ones giving you that impression. In that case it's an exception not the norm. During Muslim holidays muslims share their food with Christians and vice-versa. There's complete religious freedom in Ghana.
I didn’t mean that there is conflict in religion. I said that Ghanaians, whether Christian or Muslim practice religions more intensely than where I come from. You see the presence of religions on a daily basis which sometimes can get a bit too much for foreigners who are not used to that. Ghanaians are peaceful people and conflict of such has never been a part of Ghanaian history. Thanks for watching
@@Anaieta with this explanation I now get what you mean. I appreciate your perspective of the ghanaian society. All the best in your adventures and marriage ❤️.
Iranian in Ghana, noting how religious they're in Ghana,,, ok, so it wasn't just me 😂 Hi from Norway, I came across your channel today, got friends in Ghana so that's why I can relate. Will try to travel there again end of this year, or beginning of next one, and from what I've heard, the economy is quite a mess
For a while, I lived in Nigeria with my parents after childhood in the UK. Well done for adapting to things that are absolutely impossible to adapt to: 'How can we help each other... ' The Elder is right African time, super-lateness These 3 will sap the energy out of any half-ambitious West African. Edit: Ahh, I watched another video and I noticed you have love. That's a magic ingredient in a country experience.
They have all been a constant challenge for me to adopt to! But I’m trying and it’s actually been helpful having my husband who comes from this culture next to me to sometimes try to explain things I don’t understand. But tbh it’s not very easy
What's impossible to adjust to ? elders : always right ? or African time ? It's only impossible - if you are not willing , if you are not - you can always leave . Infact , these are minor things compared to what you have to adjust to - in the Western world . Wherever you go in the world - you would have to adjust to certain things.
13:43 basically sums up why a lot of individuals are leaving in droves. Very unfortunate and something must be done about the bad shape of the economy.

About the division of religion in ghana, i disagree with you cos we get along well with each other's religion. Of course there might be one or two arguments here n there which is very normal in every country with multiple religion but Ghana is ok with that.
I didn’t mean there is conflict. I meant there is an intensity of practicing different religions here. You hear an imam 4 am waking everyone up for prayer and a pastor shouting verses of bible at 6 am with a speaker. As a foreigner it takes a bit of adjusting to get used to that. But i never meant there is any sort of conflict
