This is THE most helpful "how to" video for this drone! I felt like crying when you did the Steps 1-5!! I love organization and step by step tutorials! Thank you!
Hi you seam to be the only one that goes through all the things step by step and found it really good and easy to use thanks for the help From simon Peterborough England u.k. all the best for the future.
Glad you liked it! And don't feel bad - I do have an engineering degree and I still find much of the documentation out there to be confusing and undecipherable.
Thank you from an oldtimer newby! having never flown before, I've just ordered this drone and your video is a boon for me! easy to follow and understand, I really enjoyed your presentation a nice simple down to earth video without tech savvy jargon and keeping beginners very much in mind. Well done to you sir!👍 Regards, Tony (UK)
There are several drones available now that have ranges of several miles. It's wiorth noting that the 720e,has a camera fitted with a Sony CMOS sensor. You didn't mention range, but if you look on UA-cam,there are number of people getteing over a kilometer range. Thank you for the v
@@nineofcups1 i got it in the mail just yesterday, have done two short flights to test out the controls. So far so good, RTH works very well, both gyro and GPS calibration is fairly simple to do. Also they have a promotion where you can get a second battery for free, only thing you need to do is leave a review and provide HolyStone with tour order number, review link and shipping details. It's my first drone so i have nothing to compare it with but so far i'm impressed. Will make a proper flight tomorrow and do some filming too to see what it's capable of.
I have some droid.. But I insert my smartphone into the remote control and this spinner flies a maximum of 50 meters. I read that it can fly at a distance of up to 1000 meters. What does this mean in my situation? My neighbor bought a drone for $55 from Aliexpress and it actually flies up to one kilometer. Maybe the distance of my drone depends on Wi-Fi? Thank you
@@wedowden1 My holystone 720g went crazy on me twice already by going backwards and to the left (a little) so it will fly by you without hitting you if is low enough when it happened the first time I contacted holystone but they asked me where I bought it and it turned out they will not see drones not purchased on Amazon or an official holystone store I didn't know that so I kept flying as is and again it went backwards and to the left into a tree , due to that the gimbal doesn't work anymore because it fell .. nothing happened to the drone or propellers but the gimbal doesn't move at all and can't be positioned anymore I had to tape it to keep it level so I don't recommend holystone because is a hazardous drone and it has no warranty or repair even if you pay they wouldn't help me and wish me good luck with my drone
@@wedowden1 btw I did had a cheaper drone before and I do calibrate the gps everytime to set the home point I did take the safety test and register to the FAA I do watch the AIRMAP and b4ufly

Good video. You might want to add that the GPS must be turned on and satellites locked to use the return home feature.

I got the HS720r with a claimed range of 3km! Unfortunately the Swiss drone laws prohibit me from finding out if it really reached that range or not
I have a HS 720e and on the controller, just to the right of the GPS icon is a number that varies. What does it represent?
Thanks for your tips
Pulled the trigger on the HS720r, can't seem to find the stick configuration settings though. Are tou still using your HS720e?
I gave my 720e to a nephew and haven't sprung for the 720r model yet. Maybe it's time?

Just got HS 720. Instructions don't show which way to insert SD card, would you know? Think they'd be the same, thanks
I don’t remember, but as long as you don’t force it, you can’t insert it all the way if the card is upside down.

Probably best to contact HolyStone customer service directly.

Is registry for Americans only?
Anyone flying a drone in the U.S. must register, but many other countries require registry as well.
I got to 720 drone and I got an iPhone well that connect to it because I’m having problems
I don't recommend the holystone 720g
WHY?
