I made this for my granddaughter and she loves it she puts her little rings and crayons in it and off to school she goes. Thanks for such a detailed description of this adorable little bag.
Could u plz give sizes for three different bags. Yours is the easiest video for making these brackets. I’m going to put cardboard in the bottom covered with matching fabric. Thanks
This tutorial is, by far, the easiest one i have found. Thank you for posting this video. Sewing machines and I do not get along with each other. So i sew everything by hand. It takes longer, but i find it very therapeutic. I will be making some of your beautiful drawstring bags without getting confused. THANKS 😊
You have solved the geometry mystery for making a round bag from a square piece of fabric. Thank you for posting this video, and being so clear in your explanations.
Thank you so much Angie! Made your fabric baskets for my family for Christmas stuffed with goodies and they loved them. Your tutorials are so easy to understand it makes trying something new not intimidating. Thanks to you have made so many treats and gifts for coworkers, family, and friends.
Darling bag! Beautiful material. Great instructional tutorial. Need to dust the cobwebs off my machine, get it serviced and get busy!!! Thank you for sharing,Angie! Hugs and have a blessed day,
Great tutorial. This would make a great project for my granddaughter 9 who wants to sew and has been practicing straight sewing. This is the best tutorial on how to put a drawstring bag together. Thank you so much.
I made one of these little drawstring bags to match a dress that I made for my granddaughter. Its such a cute set for her to wear on her first day in kindergarten. Thank you so much for teaching me/us how to make such a cute little bag.
This has to be the best tutorial ever. I need to make two. You definitely showed me how. Never could figure out the drawstring. You made absolute sense to me. Thank you 🙂 Subscribed and hit the 🛎
So cute! Thank you, ChicnScratch, for sharing! But I was disappointed, after cutting my front piece, that the pattern wasn't lined up correctly to finish top and bottom, but it was positioned side to side. Wish you had addressed that important step, before I had to cut another piece to accommodate the direction of the fabric. Oh well, live and learn. Still loving it, though!
Love the video! Just one suggestion - sew the seam allowances down where the drawstring openings are so that the safety pin doesn't get stuck when feeding the cording through
Hello Angie, Your instructions are great you explain very well and clear, so it makes it very easy to follow. Would like to get them in larger sizes if possible. Can you post different sizes please. Fabric chosen is beautiful shows well. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you!! I had fun making the bag and your instructions were very easy....can't wait to make more. Hopefully they will go faster because I won't be stopping and starting the video -- LOL
I've been watching videos on how to make these bags, and I like yours the best by far. This is the way I'll do mine. Thank you! I also subscribed to your channel. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you teach us.
Hi there just wanted to let you know that I just followed your tutorial and I made a bag. Yee haw. Thank you so much for a wonderful tutorial.I love your teaching. I will definitely be following you all the time. Thank you thank you Diana. You really ga ve me courage to complete and no fear to do more.💓💓
I'm a beginner when it comes to sewing, but I can't believe that no one has come up with a better way to thread twill tape, etc, like you're doing here instead of using a safety pin. The Sew Tites are cool.
Very cute. I always hunt for different ways to make these! Your way seems very easy to me. Have not used my sew tiles( they are heavy) very clever of you to use that way! Sew I got confused on the way you marked for the draw string! I’m dyslexic that didn’t click for me. Sew I must try!! 😂Thank you! 😊
can't wait to do this, you make everything look easy, but I need to get a couple of those tools and then I will be off to the races with these! BIG HUGS! Teresa in AZ
Great video. I love the way you insert the ribbon on both sides of the bag so that you can pull on both ends of ribbon and it closes the bag up beautifully in a pinch - brilliant!
You are so talented, I love all your projects. Have you shown the quilts you are making for the baby. I do so hope we get to see them!! I have enjoyed you channel for years. Love Bella and the birds. Thank you for all your dedication and hard work.
Thanks for sharing. I love projects like this to give as gifts. And I collect fat quarters - I always buy two coordinating pieces just for little projects like this.
This is so cute. I’m getting a sewing machine beginning of July. I’m excited. I mainly want it for sewing on paper but your little bags look so simple. I think I can do it.
total sewing newbie here, love the 'baby-iron' ! I sorta get the concept, but got lost on the drawstring handle insertion, you do 1 length of cord/fabric/ribbon etc for each side I think, but was wondering if all the seams were sewed up where do you insert the drawstring to feed thru on each end, that I didn't catch/understand correctly - Thank You - it's a great video !
Angie, these are absolutely fabulous. Your tutorial is amazing. These would be great to put my granddaughter's small toys in. Best wishes from Northern Ireland.
These are the best draw string bags I've seen on here. And I love your fabric choice. So guess what I'm going to be doing later today. Thanks for posting this great tutorial. Looking forward to watching some more . Stay Safe and happy crafting.
I now have made 10 of these since I watched you this morning. Love love it. Only thing I have to do is buy the twill or ribbon for drawstring. Thank you so much.

Hi I note you have made this gorgeous bag and I was wondering if you know what the final measurements are? I am a newbie and want to make a bag to fit a present in so measurements need to be specific. I don't to make it then the present won't fit in.
Hi could you please give the final measurements of all the drawstring bags so I can decide which one to make for some presents I have purchased for Christmas which are in boxes. Many thanks

Could u plz give sizes for three different bags. Yours is the easiest video for making these brackets. I’m going to put cardboard in the bottom covered with matching fabric. Thanks
Did you manage to get the final measurements please
You can figure the size because she did to use 2 fat quarters which are usually 18 x 22
You don’t need measurements. Make it any size you want. Usually should be a rectangle. Hope that helps.
I am a novice but love this tutorial and tomorrow I will go to the market and buy a lining fabric for the African wax material I want to use x
This tutorial is, by far, the easiest one i have found. Thank you for posting this video. Sewing machines and I do not get along with each other. So i sew everything by hand.
