I cry every time I hear this story. This is the worst crime in America. How does the law allow you to only get 8years with a chance if parole after serving 3 years. The law for vehicular manslaughter needs to be changed.

Thomas lived thirty days after his 30th Bday! Him and I were so close we were classmates graduated in 1990!! We both were headed to my other nephew graduation with masters from Georgetown!! My sister had a heart attack from the news in the car e had just lost my sister three months earlier from breast cancer! People should get harsher sentences but they eventually will succumb to everything they have done!!!

The little girl was actually DOA , she was administered the shot to restart her heart and placed on life support. 15 days total on life support because the mom wasn't ready to say goodbye. ( Mom's word's) every bone on her face broken, both femurs was broken , chin split open, both eyes bulged out of the socket and a broken neck. And left there to die by a POS who was speeding on her damn phone. Pathetic how the judge gave only 8 years with a chance of parole after 3 yrs! Being charged w animal cruelty gets you more yrs than this. The laws need to be changed!!

Dont be mad at the judge, he gave her the maximum sentence allowed by law. If you watch the sentencing video he says she deserves more than 8 years.

The little girl was removed from life support 10 days after the hit and run. The girl who hit her only recieved 8 yrs.
