CriCriBunny I work in law enforcement. I’m very familiar with the statistics. I have a small, one gun safe tethered to my passenger seat in my vehicle. It cost me $18. It came with a steel cable to tether the box to my seat, and 2 keys. Illegal firearms aren’t cheap. He had the money for that, but not for the safety equipment? This is why gun owners get bad publicity.
CriCriBunny Also, check out amazon. Amazon has tons of one gun safes for under $50. As does wal-mart and every single gun store I’ve ever stepped foot in. If you’ll notice, the news anchor at the end explained that the local sheriffs office gives out trigger locks for free. There is zero excuse for improper firearms safety and storage.

In addition, he decided to go against those orders and didn't keep the gun in a safe location away from where a kid could get a hold of it; furthermore, there wasn't a trigger lock. He has a prior record and wasn't legally allowed to have a gun, he broke that law and it resulted in the negligent death of his daughter, and what could've been more children if another one of those kids had gotten a hold of it or if she'd pointed it at her family. Karma's a bitch but natural selection happens when parents aren't intelligent enough to keep their offspring safe. He's in a horrible situation because he put himself there
My dad bought a gun thinking we'd be safer. My mom has severe schizophrenia, and I have suicidal thoughts.
Guns don't make me feel safer.
