- I have had a lot of great questions about the use of castor oil and recommended parameters. The answers to these questions are not always cut & dry and often depend on the situation. With that being said, castor oil can be a wonderful additional intervention to support your body while it is trying to heal, whether that be from gut issues, constipation, fibroids, etc. In this video, I dive into recommendations for the use of castor oil to benefit overall pelvic wellness, and gut health. I also discuss how often to use it and the minimal amount of time to use castor oil to see benefits.

I've only just begun learning of the benefits of Castor oil. I started using it on the right side of my face to treat post menopausal, cystic acne. And it WORKED! I've been using all kinds of expensive face treatments and a simple bottle of Castor oil took care of the problem in less than two weeks. Now... I've also been dealing with post menopausal hormonal imbalances, Drastic ones and All of the negative side effects of it. My Dr put me on a couple of compound prescriptions to help out with the problems I've been having but I am curious if I can use Castor oil to balance my hormones. If it can help me out, do I use it in a pack and where do I place the pack etc. Thank you for Any information you can provide.
35+, in peri/menopause and beyond:
-full moon: staring on full moon wear thyroid pack 1 hour and liver pack 1 hour (or ideally overnight)
-new moon: switch to wearing your breast packs 1 hour and pelvic pack 1 hour (or ideally overnight)
for hormonal balance support, be consistent and allow yourself 3-4 months for noticeable changes
Thank you! Can I continue using the compound prescriptions while using the castor oil packs? @@DrKimberleyWilsonPTDPTCertDN
I’ve had a hysterectomy and 4 months post op. I have a very tight pelvic floor which is causing issues. Can I just rub castor oil onto my stomach before I got to bed ?
Hello Dr Kimberly. I have been applying a layer of castor oil directly to pelvis and liver area before bed and just putting a t shirt on and applying a hot water bottle. Will that be sufficient or is it necessary to use a pack? Thank you.
Thats a great question! There is certainly some therapeutic benefit to applying the castor oil directly onto the skin. One of the really cool things about apply a castor oil pack though is that the gentle compression applied directly onto your skin helps to stimulate increased vagal tone--this will support the autonomic nervous system and move a stressed system from "fight or flight" to "rest and digest". This way, the castor oil pack helps your body do what its supposed to do, but can't (or has a really hard time doing) when it's stuck in fight or flight.
Will this help puffy face or back pain or lymph?
Will just doing a liver pack work or should I do more spots or packs ?
It does all!!!
So it doesnt contain prostaglandins? It just stimulates receptors..
Im worried that it is affecting my hormones, causing worse pms, ..and may mske my period come abbit early? I just started using it since 3 days now..putting it in my bellybutton, to help constipation..but it isnt much.
Putting castor oil on your belly button could potentially have some healthy benefits but castor oil pack practice is more specific with slight variations in terms of protocol depending on your symptoms. For example, applying a "pack" around your liver will help the liver detox. It supports the lymphatic system too--the pack provides light resistance to stimulate the pumping of lymph as you are breathing while you sleep :)
@@DrKimberleyWilsonPTDPTCertDN thanks. But do can u tell me anything about my first question...can it affect period cycles..in a negative way potentially?
I am not aware of any negative side effects for cycles. however, it will affect your hormones--that's kind of the point. The idea being that it will help to balance your hormones over time. You should monitor it over a 3 month period of consistent usage for best results. It would also be helpful to make positive changes in other areas of your health as well during this time. Things like healthy diet, exercise, managing stress, prioritizing sleep, etc are all good things to consider for impacting a healthy endocrine system@@ccaselli7
Is castor oil good for cheilitis.?
anytime there is a problem with the skin, it indicates a deeper issue with your body ridding itself of toxins. I'd recommend castor oil protocol that includes thyroid, liver, pelvis, and breast to support lymphatic detox. Let me know if you need more guidance
Does castor oil help with a prolapsed uterus?
I am using it for my prolapse and I have noticed a difference within 24 hours. Much more comfortable in that area. Peace and blessings ❤️🙏🏽😇
Do we have to use a pack or can we just apply it directly and rub it in? I'm confused on the difference between the two. I have pain in the ovary areas. To me it seems easier to rub it on and just pull my sleep pants up higher. What do you think is the difference between doing that, and a pack?
Great question! One reason for using a pack is to protect your clothes, bed sheets etc, since castor oil is thick & it will get on those things. Using a compress for varies ailments has been a respected practice for centuries-castor oil pack technique is a similar concept where you are placing a concentrated dose of oil to a specific area & giving it time to seep through the body’s layers-and with the placement of the pack you are guiding your body’s attention to a specific area triggering a host of responses from various systems including the autonomic system to support the body’s self healing super powers :) i would agree, however, that topical application alone is also beneficial to some degree & is sometimes referred to as the “lazy technique” but sometimes that all we have time for AND that’s ok too!
I’m just rubbing the oil in on the right side under my breast of a night..I now only wake up once through the night . I have gall stones so that affects the liver , so I’m just going with that at the moment..will see about the pack later on, I also use it on my face.
@@snowygirl3171 just to share with all...a simple way to apply a pack is by putting a sanitary towel over the castor oil, pad facing skin, and tape it on with some med tape.
I learnt this from a utube natural doc.
