Should have your D3 checked. It is the only to accurately see where your level is. I take 10,000 per day my reading is 100. Dr Grimes advocates for easing that upper one to 150 max.
Certainly fewer infections. I take 10000 iu.s of D3 a day, and have a vitamin D blood level of just over 100 ngs per ml but I sill managed to catch quite a heavy cold last week. Having said that, I was able to go into work and got over it quickly.
@@grahamsmith17466 Only time I catch a cold, is if my mucus membranes are deteriorated from using bleach to clean a bathroom. But is that really a cold?

Even chain smoking, binge drinking and heavy drug addiction combined would take much longer to do much less damage to a healthy human body. The year elementary school children needed a pediatrician as well as a cardiologist and healthy athletes started collapsing on the field was the year the media should have been asking questions.
If care home residents were offered vit d supplementation (and Zinc) I'm convinced there would be less infections. But Homes won't allow relatives to give it, it has to be recommended by GP's so you're up against their reluctance. Tragic.
My understanding is that older and obese people don't make vitamin d as well as the young and fit, so supplementation may be more universally effective.
This discussion makes me wonder if using skin creams with high levels of SPF like suntan lotion is actually doing a disservice to the user. By blocking the sun's rays on the skin, could this affect the amount of Vitamin D is able to produce from daily sunlight exposure.
Research is showing that stuff actually causes skin cancer. In Australia skin cancer is on the rise since using it. Their answer is, use more... A clue is that the nasty version of skin cancer often arises in areas that get very little exposure to the sun. Remember, do the opposite of what they tell you
I had the same concerns, but recently John had an interview with Dr Roger Seheult, who explained the different forms of sunlight spectrum rays. Only the UVB rays, which are intense between 10am and 2pm, are cancer causing. The others are healing. He explained how to benefit from sun rays. I highly recommend that show.
UVB is the primary stimulus for vitamin d synthesis. There's a site called willyweather that has a UV daily UV forecast graph that you can set for your city. I try to get outdoors when it will be above 3 but not above 6. I don't burn on a 90 minute walk. Where I live it doesn't get above 3 for the 6-8 weeks straddling the winter solstice, so I supplement from November through February at minimum.
@Lave_Mang I would suggest you look into the need for taking K2 with vit d3, to help the calcium stay in your bones. I, too, have not even had a cold, after taking vit d3 all through c19
@Liz-do4gw I too have been taking D3 and K2 and Zinc since covid statrted and have not had any illness since. I give all of the credit to Dr Campbell.
I have several fibroids with the largest at 10cm. Started taking 50,000 iu vitamin D for almost a month and these fibroids are definitely shrinking. The largest at the middle of my abdomen and one on the right the size of a baseball, and they are shrinking every day. I’m taking K2 with the vitamin D after a fatty meal, zinc & copper in the AM with an empty stomach, magnesium right before I go to sleep.
Zinc and copper will compete for absorption if taken at the same time. You typically want a ratio of 10:1 zinc to copper. I wouldn't supplement with copper unless taking 40mg zinc daily for a long time. Maybe 1mg copper at that point unless your water is entirely filtered or your diet is very lacking in copper rich foods
Anything less than 40mg zinc you will probably not need copper supplements but you need yo determine this. Just don't over do either and remember the ratio all the same give or take a bit generally
I remember lining up at primary school in the 1940's to be given a spoon of cod liver oil followed by orange juice, and we all got s bottle of milk, I saw a case of Ricketts in London while working in a residential nursery in the 1960;s it was recognised by an older doctor who had practised in east London years before the war,
How often were the children given cod liver oil? I gave capsules to my son, I think too frequently, And his eyes and skin began to turn yellow from the vitamin A.
Assuming RFK Jr gets into office, I hope this is one of the first and simple things he promises. Low hanging fruit first! We would experience success with this simple implementation.
I can’t make my own 20 year old understand that the levels in blood are not what official medicine says is neat, that the dose indicated on store bought bottles is minuscule, especially for someone who has a weak immune system like hers
I’m a wheelchair user over 40 and I’m taking double IU of vitamin D had the China virus twice, first time it was like normal flu and second time it was just runny nose. I know it because I needed to have a surgery and they swabbed me and I had to delay the operation date.
It is difficult indeed to influence people who have their own trusted information sources, and do not consider the input of those who are (a) not licensed to wear stethoscopes or (b) accepted to publish in restrictive journals.
One international unit was the daily amount needed to keep a 10g mouse in optimum health. If you scale that up for a 70kg human, you might arrive at 7000 IU per day, only 12x more than the recommended 600 IU, which is the minimum needed to prevent rickets.
I had psoriasis from age 16 (now71) used sunlight to keep it subdued but it was getting worse, saw this channel about a year ago and started on vit D 5000 micro units and over several months noticed my psoriasis getting better. It's not gone but has improved it more than the monthly sunshine l was getting in the north of England.
You might try an anti-inflammatory diet to get rid of what remains. I started with the nightshade family - tomatoes, peppers, potatoes. Cleared all my skin complaints, and reduced joint pain.
Wagner et al demonstrated that D deficiency during pregnancy created a wide variety of problems, especially in the Black population. Although D has been added to milk decades ago in the US, milk consumption is way down. Or when Army recruits were tested, their D levels had decreased despite being outdoors in sunny South Carolina. Why? Uniforms cover up skin. However, D is just one variable. There are also other significant nutritional deficiencies. In Cropper’s AF study, identifying and treated iron deficiencies dramatically reduced injuries and attrition. So if you’re serious about health, do a comp blood chemistry.
low vitamin D levels are also associated with poor metabolic health. No amount of vitamin D supplementation can overcome the adverse effects of eating a terrible diet of junk food, sugar and seed oils.
I have not found a video of yours yet talking about type 3 diabetes. Not many people know about this and doctors here in the us ignore its existence. Thank you for all your videos!!

Since taking vitamin D for 2 years I rarely get ill and when I do it lasts a day or 2 at most before this I would get ill and it would be more severe and last longer
Do you want the obvious factor in cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's, IBS, most mental illnesses..... ? Mitochondria dysfunction. Very often related to thiamine deficiency. God bless.
@WeighedWilson yes. It also stimulates the mitochondria to make melatonin within the individual cells -the best antioxidant in the body. But you need B1(thiamine) to turn oxygen into energy. 80% of the body's B1 is found within the mitochondria and if you are deficient (in B1 and B1 cofactors) then your cells can not create adequate energy.
Ah, but the only theory taught in medical schools is that of genetic mutation. Funny how all that massive cancer research spending has resulted in at best very modest improvements in the effectiveness of therapies. Cancer is a modern disease, I eat an ancestral diet.
A few years ago, it was suggested by a nurse (privately in Poland) and I had a specific blood test (she also suggested that I take at least 10.000 IU of Vit D a day!). My Clamydia pneumonia levels showed 5 x higher than “normal”. My doctor had me on antibiotics for a week. When I did some research - I learned that it might take me a lifetime to possibly get rid of it! I will go back to Vit D, 10.000 IU for sure! Many Blessings to You Both!

In the USA, TB patients were often sent to Arizona - easy to produce Vit. D there. Unfortunately, the fungal disease coccidioides is endemic there and also affects the lungs ( and can escape the lungs to other parts of the body, including the brain )
Vit-D deficiency accepted, but what about melatonin deficiency (obtained from a different part of the sunlight spectrum), which also affects the immune system, and thus possibly increases TB rates? A finding that supports looking at the whole spectrum is that sun-induced Vit-d is more protective against Covid than supplemental Vit-d.
The sun is not intense enough around the winter solstice to stimulate sufficient vitamin D synthesis where I live so I supplement. But I still try to get out in the sun when the weather permits.
Since taking 10kIU vitamin D for about 3 years now my sun sensitivity is reduced, given that my sensitivity is probably autoimmune linked to SLE, thats good. Not a lot is known about the mechanism apart from the clearence system C3+4 for SLE, mine has always been normal. Except my scalp only takes 10 seconds to flare but my face is much better. Do wish it would stop my hair loss.
Eliminating the consumption of seed oils, and eating a whole food diet makes you far less susceptible to sunburn. I never use sunscreen, despite often working in the Middle East.
Loved the interview. I have a vitamin D lamp that I need to get back to using this winter. Also my concern with 2 pregnant daughters who won’t sit down for a long interview, so I’m hoping I’m hoping Campbell will make short clips I can send to them.
Dr. Campbell; Lobby to create an organization that is given the same global recognition as the WHO. Consider teaming up with a group of like-minded health professionals from around the world and forming an alternative world health organization. Then lobby to have the organization given the same global recognition as the WHO. Ideally, there should be a minimum of ten independent globally recognized health organizations. Each organization should have ten independent sub organizations. Each sub organization ten independent sub sub organizations. And so on until every qualified health professional has the ability to be a member of one organization/sub organization and vote on policies pertaining to health care. All election rules apply. (Regular elections, Term limits. No rigging, No commissions for brands of medication dispensed, etc.) By having multiple globally recognized health organizations, and, further, all decision making put to the vote, it will not be financially practical for the Pharmaceutical Industry to successfully bribe all health organization officials with policies that negatively affect the global community.
Vitamin D can be bad in the wrong ways - please mention magnesium and K2 - boron and zinc are also key - people can have low levels if eating junk food. Vit D, magnesium, K2, boron and zinc - needs a one-fits-all tablet.
@@charlestoast4051 yeah, the vit d absorbs into fat, so if you have poor metabolism, you're just storing it in fat, but I think, if you start losing weight, that vit d now get metabolized, so let's hope the MAHA movement in US spreads, even to you people in europe - not that you have a future there :/

Should have your D3 checked. It is the only to accurately see where your level is. I take 10,000 per day my reading is 100. Dr Grimes advocates for easing that upper one to 150 max.
I think you mean IU not mg.
@WeighedWilson yes. Probably does.

So easy listening to Dr Grimes talking to JC. Common sense thinking.

Certainly fewer infections. I take 10000 iu.s of D3 a day, and have a vitamin D blood level of just over 100 ngs per ml but I sill managed to catch quite a heavy cold last week. Having said that, I was able to go into work and got over it quickly.

Every Care Home should have a vitamin D lamp
They don't even take them outside 😮 Modern Care Homes have very little outdoor space
The good doctors ride again!
God bless Dr. Campbell and Dr. Grimes!

Remember, do the opposite of what they tell you
Yes
I had the same concerns, but recently John had an interview with Dr Roger Seheult, who explained the different forms of sunlight spectrum rays. Only the UVB rays, which are intense between 10am and 2pm, are cancer causing. The others are healing. He explained how to benefit from sun rays. I highly recommend that show.
About 15 yrs ago in England there were reports of the over use of high factor suncream causing rickets in children.
Thank you Dr Campbell and Dr Grimes for your work
I have been eating vitamin D since the beginning of covid. Not a single cold 🎉

One zink 25 mg /day
You're welcome
Natural progesterone.

It is difficult indeed to influence people who have their own trusted information sources, and do not consider the input of those who are (a) not licensed to wear stethoscopes or (b) accepted to publish in restrictive journals.
@@esecallum That's a good observation!
One international unit was the daily amount needed to keep a 10g mouse in optimum health. If you scale that up for a 70kg human, you might arrive at 7000 IU per day, only 12x more than the recommended 600 IU, which is the minimum needed to prevent rickets.
Such pleasure to listen to sensible and well rounded conversation. Lots of great useful information.

You might try an anti-inflammatory diet to get rid of what remains. I started with the nightshade family - tomatoes, peppers, potatoes. Cleared all my skin complaints, and reduced joint pain.
Nice that you're documenting some of the history of these old timers on screwTube, before they bite the bullet. Wealth of knowledge, thank you.
John's only 67, and I think Dr Grimes is not much older. Let's hope they both have at least another couple of decades still in them!
The quantity of Vitamin D in milk is inconsequential.
low vitamin D levels are also associated with poor metabolic health. No amount of vitamin D supplementation can overcome the adverse effects of eating a terrible diet of junk food, sugar and seed oils.
TY very much, Dr. John and your guest. We enjoyed the conversation very much - similarly a christmas-fairy-tale! 🎄
I have not found a video of yours yet talking about type 3 diabetes. Not many people know about this and doctors here in the us ignore its existence. Thank you for all your videos!!

4000IU daily here plus K2. Defo less illness
Since taking vitamin D for 2 years I rarely get ill and when I do it lasts a day or 2 at most before this I would get ill and it would be more severe and last longer
A lot to process. Enjoyable and informative.
Do you want the obvious factor in cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's, IBS, most mental illnesses..... ?
Mitochondria dysfunction. Very often related to thiamine deficiency.
God bless.
Sunlight is thought to stimulate mitochondria.
Thanks for this amazing

Fantastic conversation! Love from India!!
Wow. We need to give all school kids vit D.

Not much sun in the Uk these days.
That was a great watch, so much information that i wasnt aware of ,so many people could be helped by something that relatively cheap, maybe thats why it isnt used, no profit in it for these greedy people, so thats why info is suppressed
Interesting. Do you have a reference for sun-induced vs supplementary D?
The sun is not intense enough around the winter solstice to stimulate sufficient vitamin D synthesis where I live so I supplement. But I still try to get out in the sun when the weather permits.
Also, when you have been out in the sun, don't shower for an hour or more, to enable the oils to convert to vit D.
Also my concern with 2 pregnant daughters who won’t sit down for a long interview, so I’m hoping I’m hoping Campbell will make short clips I can send to them.
maybe vitamin D deficiency leads to short attention span too! (more likely cell phones and social media....)

Lobby to create an organization that is given the same global recognition as the WHO.
No rigging, No commissions for brands of medication dispensed, etc.)
By having multiple globally recognized health organizations, and, further, all decision making put to the vote, it will not be financially practical for the Pharmaceutical Industry to successfully bribe all health organization officials with policies that negatively affect the global community.

Vitamin D can be bad in the wrong ways - please mention magnesium and K2 - boron and zinc are also key - people can have low levels if eating junk food.
Vit D, magnesium, K2, boron and zinc - needs a one-fits-all tablet.
another phrma stooge trying to scaremonger. your free pat on the head is on the way from the postman
Yes, I've read that no amount of supplementation will get your levels up if you are in poor metabolic health, eating a junk food diet.
