Awesome flight mate, one of my favourites of yours yet - those views flying into the North East Kimberley region of my state were spectacular and like nothing else! Interestingly enough whilst Nexus Airlines only have been operating since last year there sister company Aviair has been providing local scheduled and charter flight operations around the Pilbara and Kimberley regions since the 1980s. Great to see them expanding into the bigger game so its always great to see a grassroots airline breaking into new markets and bigger aircraft types. Really hope they do well, the state could really do with some added competition as regional intrastate flights are generally not that competitively priced and with such a massive state the tyranny of distance, lack of population which probably pushes up regional and rural airport costs (and sometimes weather especially in the wet season) makes air travel connectivity a pretty vital thing in WA!
@@YoungAussieFlyer same old story mate work and life keep getting in the way - I was always sold on doing Perth to Geraldton but increasingly thinking of doing Port Headland to Broome instead!
I use to work near Kununurra, my favourite part of Australia, the heart takes months to get use to its so dry and oppressive...Id like to go back one day see the Plateau and Golf Waters again, so beautiful especially during the transition from dry to wet season...
Hey @youngaussieflyer great review of nexus airlines it’s great to have another regional airline doing the Ports I hope they do well. Hopefully soon compete with Rex and Qantas regional in western Australia ❤💯🙌
Last time I was in Darwin was May 2019. My fourth trip there. Always wanted to go into top of WA. The heat hits 50c i believe. Way too hot. Maybe one day. Cheers.
The Dash-8 is impressive for its class. Air Greenland flies them internationally to Iceland and Canada. The Nexus "full milk run" from Perth to Darwin is about the only way Western Australians can fly interstate without using either Qantas/Jetstar or Virgin. The Dash-8 is well proven on medium haul flights even internationally from Greenland. I wonder if a Nexus route from Perth via Kalgoorlie to Adelaide could be possible.
It's good WA has another choice of Airline since losing SkyWest as airfares generally quite expensive on intrastate flights & up to Darwin . Hope they do well with those Q400s being economical turbo props 😊
@@YoungAussieFlyer they are useless, I am speaking from numerous commissions of inquiries and audits here in Vanuatu. So yes I know what I am talking about when I call them useless. So please do not lecture me on what and what not to say
I will be at work during the premiere but can’t wait to see the worlds first ever Nexus Airlines Review!
Excellent review mate, hope this video finds its way to the folk at Nexus, I'm sure they'd love the extra little bit of publicity!
With any luck!
Good to see a review of them. was wondering what they were like.
Glad I could help
Flew with earlier this month from DRW to BME and it was such a nice flight! Nice report mate!
Thank you!

Not going to lie, for a Western Australian, I expected you to have covered this airline already haha

The heat when I landed was like 40°C and I was dying haha
Nordic Aviation Capital is a lessor, it just means Air Baltic returned it
Huh, there ya go - I didn’t know that
It really looks like a completely different country, what a beautiful, if remote place! - Food looks better than what they serve on Qantas these days
Honestly I’d agree with the food being better
weird you could smell avgas when everything you walked past was burning jetA
It’s just a general term, I wasn’t being specific

I’ve wanted to visit Greenland for years - I’m just too far away haha. Also the nexus milk run is on my bucket list - but it’s expensive

Australian aviation is cool, many airlines to choose from, unlike Vanuatu where everyone is stuck with useless Air Vanuatu
