I don’t think Air North has ever operated flights out of Mount Isa - though it would be something different and interesting if they did - though probably not enough demand to operate a service
Another great trip report as always!. Got to love flying the smaller jets in the north of Australia. Be interesting to take there Darwin to Dilli flight I believe its the shortest international flight out of Australia also on the Embraer!
This is one route I'm very eager to try but work has made travelling difficult - so I have to go away on these day trips. I'll try to get onboard air north again!
Very interested to see there's finally a direct flight from Darwin to Townsville. Many years ago with Australian Airlines (ex-TAA, became part of Qantas) I had to fly to Brisbane first, then back up to Townsville - over 6 hours all up. Air North has come a long way, we flew on a small prop plane with them to Milikapiti from Darwin.
I am surprised they did not stop at Mount Isa...I used to live there for a while .. Great place with so many memories

Very good review. I really want to try this route through Darwin and then onto Timor Leste.
I love those small Embraer jets Air North use.
Next I would like to fly on their EMB 120s

I've yet to fly with Air north on one of their turbo prop - but when I get the chance next year I will
A very decent feed they gave you onboard 😀
Indeed!
Locals call it Scare North
Whys that?
@@YoungAussieFlyer It's scary to fly with them, especially their smaller aircraft.
I’ve flown with them 3 times in the last 2 years and I haven’t had any issues
E-170 so cute !
I know right! Such a small plane
Wonderful video. One thing though. Consider investing in a higher quality microphone. Your videos would be even greater :D
I think you might want to watch some of my more recent videos - audio and video have improved since then
@@YoungAussieFlyer oh ok sorry.
@@LEMMYLEMON all Good no stress
Really nice little report for a really nice little airline. I always find tickets to anywhere from Darwin to be exorbitant so I guess $300 is ok
Thank you so much! Yeah Darwin is an expensive airport…but sometimes Air North goes on sale for Half price but you have to be quick!
@@YoungAussieFlyer I didn't know they sold tickets on sale will take a look thanks :)
@@freedomflight747 It doesn’t happen often but when it does the tickets are well worth the price
Didn't even know Townsville had an airport.
It’s a fairly small one but it’s there
Um, it's a larger city than Darwin & Cairns. The airport handles more passengers than Darwin also.
@@wezsworld2737 Pretty sure Cairns is bigger. Has an international airport, too.
@@Mikelennon78 Cairns Airport is bigger, but it's a smaller city. Townsville is the largest city in the northern half of Australia.
Airnorth is a good airline yes that food looks good when I flew airnorth I got cheese and bistuckets and a pack of nuts
