Great review Luke. Certainly a hike over to Brissy from Perth either that, Gold Coast or Cairns in opposite direction probably longest flight in Australia made even more remarkable on the smaller Boeing! Look forward to flying on this aircraft again next month direct between Perth and Launceston!

0:20 technically speaking the territory of Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean has an international airport as well, making it actually the most westernly international airport in Australia, though there are only international charter flights. Great video as always tho!

Considering virgin used to fly the a330mon the route it is a little bit embarrassing they are now flying these tiny 737-700 that don’t even have business class on the second longest domestic flight in Australia.

Thanks ! It is a pity that Virgin doesn't offer passengers the opportunity to pre purchase their' meals on longer flights like this .

Do you reckon the domestic terminals in Australia are somewhat better and more comfy with more food choices etc than International ones? When I went through Sydney I compared with the domestic and thought the domestic terminal was way more comfy and I felt more at home. BTW that case you have is a cabin baggage so why check in?

What a treat to fly such a short domestic flight on a wide body. Reminds me of when I took a 777 on ANA between Osaka and Tokyo a journey I had only done a few days earlier so effortlessly on the Shinkansen! Def will have to check out 'the beach' sometime for plane spotting looks quite an epic location!

Hi, thanks for your video. China Eastern appear to have very cheap business class pricing. Now im not interested in a 5-course menu. Im interested in a full flat bed. Based on your trip and the price, would you consider this airline for a long haul?

The security at Christchurch is small because the only flights are to Auckland and Wellington, Queenstown also gets one or two a day if I am not mistaken. Wellington also gets turboprop flights so the jet trip are not as frequent as they are to Auckland.

Air NZ domestic service is embarrassing. I've flown several flights in asia on Eva Air and Cathay flights under 2 hours where a substantial meal is served

you can't film on the apron as this could impede evacuation in case the aircraft caught fire. go through the airbridge next time. i film easily onboard

Congratulations on your Maori pronunciation. A couple of factual corrections to share with you: As at June 2024 Christchurch is NZ's second largest city with population of 403,000 & Wellington third largest with 214,200. (If you include the other cities (Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Porirua) in Wellington province then, yes, it would be second largest.) At 2885m Mount Tapuae-o-Uenuku is the twelfth highest mountain in NZ & highest in the Inland Kaikoura Range. Aoraki/Mount Cook is NZ's highest at 3.497m. I recommend you return to Christchurch in summer when temperatures can be in the 30s & the flights to Antartica are in full swing. I'm sure you'd enjoy seeing the USAF C17s & C-130s plus RNZAF C130s & B757 departing most summer days for the ice. At present an Italian Hercules is also based here for ice trips also.

2 degrees is cold,but have you seen what our winter is like here cristchurch? I got off the plane on chch after my trip to the gold coast in August,And it was..-10 degrees,also New Zealand has never had any hijacks or attempted attacks in the country so they dont use security for regional due to it simply not being needed.
