I'm with you on that whale
I got a few ideas how to make it work, so we'll see what I can come up with!
Even though I hate the 1/12 scale still loved the video
Appreciate it! I'm assuming you are more of a 1/18th scale guy? If you are interested and haven't seen them yet, I do dabble in 1/18th scale. I did some custom GI Joes in that scale. Thanks for watching!
amazing work, I've been making a bunch of vehicles lately too I need those buggies!
Yesssirr! Once you start doing the customs you start to get all kinds of ideas!
@@datamag2018 facts!
I ordered a New Ray 1/12 Scale Model Suzuki Vinson QuadRunner Auto 500 4X4 Camo ATV for myself, also. Somebody has a video where he customs a six inch figure to sit on it, and it really looks like it will do the trick with ANY Joe figure. I also ordered a KTM 990SM Motorcycle, Black - Automaxx 601702BK - 1/12 Scale Vehicle for either Scarlett or Snake Eyes. The 1:12 Scale Vehicle thing for Joe Classics really sucks right now, but there's two decent ideas. I like that RC black and white ATV you showed off. I'd like to grab one of those. I got tired of custom figure making with Joe Classifieds, and want some vehicles.
Hey thanks for the great info!! I'm with you on some vehicles, I'm actually getting ready to make my full length GI Joe stop motion since I now have lots of characters but now I need props, vehicles, and sets to build my GI Joe world. Hasbro is coming up way short so we're left to improvise and search for stuff that works. Thanks again for the info on those items!
Nice
Many thanks!!
Wanted to share I just got a 1/12 rc truck off eBay for my gi joe classified figures. Called RSOV RC TRUCK. Stands for ranger special operations vehicle. Need to do some mods as figures don’t sit inside but it’s got awesome accessories...
I checked it out, great info! Thanks!
I seen launch rc made a quad bike that's perfect for classified right out of the box. Also wl toys makes a car the 12429 that looks like it could hold a couple of figures.
Yeah, I have made up my mind that I am only getting vehicles that are ready to fit figs right out the box, or ones that require minimal work to get them ready. I'd much rather spend time customizing figures and shooting stop motion rather than gutting vehicles and such. Thanks for watching, and for the info!
@@datamag2018 yeah vehicle customizing is a chore for sure i put a lot of work into a 20 walmart special and it's not even a decent rc.
I think it would take more than one raven to take out the Flagg. 😆 Ah!! the cobra: raven. the best air craft ever!! In my own humble opinion.
You know I never had one as a kid, but I too loved the Cobra Night Raven. I actually think I'm going to try to find a 1/18th version of it someday. Thanks for watching!
A 1/18 scale USS Flag is totally viable.
I have tossing around the idea of making a Flag diorama that would be big enough for 1/12th scale. Basically, the flight deck and the structure that leads to the inside of the carrier. I think it's doable. Then have it in sections so I can break it down when it's not in use...hmmmm.
Yeah it is, especially if you have a 3D printer.
Great vid & choices for vehicles! That Batmobile for Destro would also look good with a little red on it for the Iron Grenadiers. Man, I hate that I slept on that Sentinel stuff at TRU. I'd always see it there and knew it would look good with the 3.75 Joes but never thought 1) It would work with 6 inch figures & 2) That Hasbro would actually make 6 inch Joes, lol.
Yeah, I literally only had the stuff because I was using it to play with my daughter and 3.75 inch generic GI Joes type guys. She grew out of it and into video games, so the stuff sat in toy boxes for years and since I'm not a throw away guy I still had lots of them!
@@datamag2018 Um can you tell the name of every vehicle in this video and where do they come from?
@@heroscentral9380 So if you watch the video all the way through I tried to give as much information as possible including pictures and names. Most of what I showed are discontinued toys from dead lines, so eBay or secondary market is most likely the only way to get them now. Thanks for watching!
@@datamag2018 Your welcome.
The motorcycle would be great for Destro. It should be painted in Destro's colors (red and black,) with a M.A.R.S. logo on the gas tank. It would be a great companion piece to the Baroness and her C.O.I.L.
That's not a bad idea... Especially considering it is more sci fi looking, it would probably make more sense as a Cobra bike.
How hard would it have been to do a jump jet pack? Hell they could do a jump/claw 2 pack.
IKR?? GI Joe specialized in 1-2 man vehicles... Nobody is asking for the USS Flagg aircraft carrier, just the smaller vehicles, and maybe a tank or hovercraft...LOL! Thanks for checking out my content!
It's not hard at all.

Oh, man the wait was worth it. I'm planning on getting those Batcycles on ebay soon and oh, man I was also thinking the same way with that Mega Cannon Batmobile and I'm turning that into a Cobra Rage while Datalynx here turn it into well whatever he damn well wants.
Hmmm cobra Rage I'll have to look that one up, I don't remember that vehicle. Glad you liked the video! As you can see I had a lot of stuff ready to go, so I dropped 3 videos this morning, lol, enjoy!
@@datamag2018 Yep, I did enjoy them it was like holy shit he's on a roll here. And yes a Cobra Rage it was at one time a Cobra Fury and these were urban assault vehicles and once I looked at that Mega Cannon Batmoblie I thought to myself, "This would be cool as a Rage/Fury." But the all black looks vicious like you can call it a Cobra Wrath or Tormentor for good ole Destro here as his personal vehicle of destuction.
@@Ezilla82 I'm going to have a look at that Cobra Rage, those are some cool names you suggested too.
@@datamag2018 You should it just looks bonkers, but that's Cobra for ya. And thanks it was just on a fly type of moment, but hey if you want to use those names than be all means do. Since you help me with a link this time I'll help you out. Here's a link. www.yojoe.com/vehicles/97/rage/
Great video!!! Do you have a link for the small utv? I’d like to get one. Thanks.
Ok so, I bought the tan colored one off Amazon (I think that's the one you were asking about?) but it doesn't seem to be on their site anymore, but this is what its called. 1:12 Scale Polaris MRZR D4 (Military). The black one is www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EXFEG4I/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1, but it looks like they don't have any stock right now either. However, there is this one www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C4W5NGH?pf_rd_r=SYWBSBBP9AAGD0MV9NHX&pf_rd_p=5ae2c7f8-e0c6-4f35-9071-dc3240e894a8&pd_rd_r=a9922cbb-9fa5-4dd2-9057-338be4b0077f&pd_rd_w=a7z2x&pd_rd_wg=thPOC&ref_=pd_gw_unk , it is a 4 wheeler, 1/12 scale with a gun case attached.
the bat raptor works well for a classified vehicle...thats what I give to Destro as it already looks like a modernized Cobra Stun.
I'll have to check it out. I'm not a huge fan of McFarlane's DC stuff, but I was intrigued by the Bat raptor. Thanks for the tip! Thanks for checking out my content!
Repaint the batmobile into a cobra rage
One of my IG buddies, Bigezilla (@Ezilla82 on UA-cam) had mentioned that as well. Then he actually got himself one and made a modified Cobra Rage, it turned out real nice, so that's definitely a great option.
@@datamag2018 I’d love to see a video showing it off
Is a start up company that makes vehicles with customization component for 1:12 figures viable?
That's an excellent question... I think that the short answer is yes, but there are some limitations... The reason I say yes is because the Hasbro's of the world have so far been unable and unwilling to go bigger than a motorcycle as far as 1/12 scale vehicles. There has been talk of Haslab's for vehicles but that would be too slow, expensive and specific to really get a good group of vehicles for Classified. Even Bobby Vala has stated that his Action Force is not currently planning any vehicles, as they are concentrating on the figures and accessories. The sweet spot would be if a company could make vehicles (on par with 1/18th vehicles from past smaller lines like The Corp, True Heroes, etc.) that were scaled up. That way they'd be cheap enough to buy off shelves or in limited preorder style. The honest truth is, adult toy collectors that would buy these kinds of things are a small niche audience, so I'm not sure how much product they would sell, and if it would be worth it for the company, especially in large production numbers. I'm assuming that's how they capitalize on stuff like this, make it as cheaply as possible but still usable and nice looking, and be able to create large numbers to keep cost down for consumers.
@@datamag2018 That's what I was thinking too, the target demo is waaay to small. The only halfed assed arguments that I can make in favor of this is that 1) There's a demand for the vehicles, (all be it a small demand,) and 2) the same muthafuckas who buy Sideshow, Hot Toys, Mondo, and Threezero would probably be interested in this.
The fact of the matter is if vehicles were viable at this scale Hasbro, Mattel, Bandai, or one of the smaller boutique companies would already be doing it.
@@corneilusmcgillicuddy Yep, so unfortunately it doesn't seem to be something a small company would want to do. So that puts us back with 3D printers and customizers, but those are expensive to make, so expensive for us to buy... I'm currently working on a video that addresses this dilemma and leads me back to the 1/18 scale, which seems to be the threshold of small enough for vehicles, Dio/playsets and such.
These vehicles make slices of pizza 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕!
Hahaha, pizza does sound good right about now... Thanks!
