Phenomenal job! The cobra decal will stay on if you peel the clear circular sticker off. I know because I'm currently customizing the aerotrooper brushless motor proboat.
Freaking awesome! I am thinking about getting one of these if they go on sale. I want to reproduce what you did here. It looks so much better! Great custom pilot as well!
Thanks for the thorough tutorial. That is an amazing amount if work to get that ejection seat out, and to tear it down for paint. It looks great in the end. 👍🏻
The underside was already close enough to the color of the undercarriage of the Night Raven; one of the aircraft’s most distinctive features. Pretty cool.
This would definitely make a nice Night Raven's "baby black bird". It wouldn't surprise me if Baroness were barnstorming in that little repurposed BuzzRide.
@Beyond Plastic Hello, I just got a few XL-15 since they are now on clearance at Target for $14.99 but my question is what did you use to make the cockpit canopy clear red?
What’s an even bigger let down is geniuses like you who think this small ass baby plane is worth getting and prepping for paint and getting disappointed over it. Human centipedes istg.
How did you change the color of the canopy to red? It looks so good! P.S. Dssassembly was much more difficult than it looked! Especially those engine modules on top.
I imagine krylon fusion works fine, it did on the vehicles i painted and the canopy was something i was wondering about too but I do believe that rit dye synthetic will color transparent parts when you soak them in a hot solution of dye and water just keep the heat low and don't overheat the plastic.
And some positive news coming out of the Underwhelming Box Office Movie "Light Year" it seems the Tie-In Movie Toy "Buzz Lightyear Spaceship" has become the number 1 best selling Disney Product EVER! over night 🌙.
Amazing job, man! Congrats! Just let me ask U smt, which paint have U used on the cockpit glass? Im afraid one of those transparent glass paint can be corrosive to plastic 😢
I'm not sure if he used it in the video, but I use Tamiya clear red acrylic paint which works beautifully. If you want to paint a large surface like that evenly though, their TS clear red lacquer works beautifully as well.
To quote Seinfeld - You yadda yaddad over the best part. I’d like to know how you did the canopy as well. This came out great. I’m working on turning one into a Firebat.
Man that is an AWESOME job you did there. My hats off to you! That jet looks like it'd make a great looking Conquest X-30 to me also.
I was thinking more like the STILLETTO.

That looks killer. I made one into a viper from BSG, but I think it works really well as a Cobra fighter plane.
I want one and I have this vehicle. Wish I had the time to covert it to what you've done. It's amazing
Great artwork! How did you paint the hatch in red? What kind of paint did you use?
Probably tamiya transparent paint and an airbrush.
Yes how
I made one of these based on this video I just found you because Aaron the Toyenhancers mech contest this as a thing of beauty brother amazing work!
Fits the spy plane narrative
That's too kool for school for real way to kick ass and inspire
Customizing mine to become the Batwing as my DC Multiverse Batman fits in the cockpit perfectly!
Bloody awesome work bro I’m going need to get a hold of one and customise it
I may hate the movie but I love this ship that Buzz went in, the way you did the paint job was brilliant!!
got more of a fire bat vibe, but looks killer in that color scheme.
That is next level stuff there.
Fantastic work!! 👍🏻👍🏻

Awesome job bro. Got me inspired to do the same
Awesomely done 👋😄✌️
What a video!! Keep these coming! Super talented! 🔥
Awesome
Looks HELLA cool ! ... careful , you may get Hasbeen to try to do a $ 600 schill...
How did you tint the canopy red, and still have it be transparent?
Transparent red spare paint
He can’t give all of his secrets
@@alrod9797 You have no idea how close I was to asking a guy at WAL-MART for that.
Red ink
I would think of red dye
This would definitely make a nice Night Raven's "baby black bird". It wouldn't surprise me if Baroness were barnstorming in that little repurposed BuzzRide.
End product looks great. Was hoping to see the paining process as well. Will you be doing another video for that?
Thank you! Going forward on new projects, painting process will be included.
@@beyondplastic2069 awesome, looking forward to it!
@Beyond Plastic Hello,
I just got a few XL-15 since they are now on clearance at Target for $14.99 but my question is what did you use to make the cockpit canopy clear red?
This is awesome. Hasbro should make these.
15 minutes of disassembly and assembly. Completely skips paint prep and painting. Such a let down
What’s an even bigger let down is geniuses like you who think this small ass baby plane is worth getting and prepping for paint and getting disappointed over it. Human centipedes istg.
Great job did you paint the glass above the cockpit?
I also want to know - what paint did you use to re-color the canopy glass? Polycarbonate paint?
That's awesome. New sub!!
Dopeness
Wow gorgeous, how did you paint it? what paint was used and what process? would love to do the same.
Looks Ahhhh...mazing.
With minimal customizing it would make a perfect Z-95 headhunter from Star Wars… might have to do that. Bossk’s Nashta Pup…
How did you change the color of the canopy to red? It looks so good!
P.S. Dssassembly was much more difficult than it looked! Especially those engine modules on top.
Now we need a even Larger Night Raven so this one can attach to it on the top.
How did you change the color of the clear plastic canopy
Amazing job! You should farm out for custom builds!
Beauty
If only this thing wasn't like, $80+, I'd do it myself.
It makes a perfect Raven
did you paint or dye it
How did you did the windshield in red?
When i first saw this i wanted to do the same thing , this looks exactly like ths ship that Black panther used in civil war
The Cobra Star Raven
What paint did you use for the canopy? Actually all of paint’s?
I imagine krylon fusion works fine, it did on the vehicles i painted and the canopy was something i was wondering about too but I do believe that rit dye synthetic will color transparent parts when you soak them in a hot solution of dye and water just keep the heat low and don't overheat the plastic.
Transparent red spray paint
A bro what kind of paint you use
To-gah flame 🔥 how much you charge to do 2
Def need your info to get 2 jets done
gi joe style is this possible
Looks more like a conquest
Cobra!!! ✊✊✊
Def need 1 too. Can yu take Commissions to make another?
What did you use to get the redish tint on the cockpit canopy?
I too would like to know. It could be a transparent paint added on top, but still wonder how it was applied, what color was added to the yellow, etc.
Wait! So This ship fit a 1/12 scale figure?
And some positive news coming out of the Underwhelming Box Office Movie "Light Year" it seems the Tie-In Movie Toy "Buzz Lightyear Spaceship" has become the number 1 best selling Disney Product EVER! over night 🌙.
I bought the XL 15 seeing it as the Conquest X30... Just found the XL 1 not long ago, and feel like it's got more the Cobra vibe to it
WOW, that's one way to repurpose these Lightyear toys. Figure looks a little cramped in there, but it works
Aww no paint process bummer.. all that said it came out great!
Can you close the canopy with the figure inside?
Yes, the mechanism that hold the figure inside the cockpit was removed to allow for more space, allowing for the figure to seat more back.
Are you able to do a Sky Striker or a Conquest X-30 as well?
Looks more like the firebat
Do you sell custom night ravens like that
What type of black is that where to buy did you hand paint or spray can 😅
What type of black paint is that and red?
Amazing job, man! Congrats! Just let me ask U smt, which paint have U used on the cockpit glass? Im afraid one of those transparent glass paint can be corrosive to plastic 😢
Tape it off and use red sharpie.
I'm not sure if he used it in the video, but I use Tamiya clear red acrylic paint which works beautifully. If you want to paint a large surface like that evenly though, their TS clear red lacquer works beautifully as well.
Where did you find the engine flames?
The engine flames were made from scratch, thanks.
@@beyondplastic2069 do you sell those ? I'd definitely buy them
🔥🔥🔥
To quote Seinfeld - You yadda yaddad over the best part. I’d like to know how you did the canopy as well. This came out great. I’m working on turning one into a Firebat.
Yes that is what I was thinking. It almost looks like the canopy is from a different toy. If you look at the end the new canopy doesn't seem to close.
Are those 6” or 3.75” figures? Amazing skill btw
Thank you!
The figures are 6”.
Nice, i believe u help Mattel boost the sales of this thing 😂
Excellent job, though this would be much closer to a remake of the Firebat not the Night Raven.
This ship is now on clearance at Target for $14.99. I just bought 2.
I'm working on 2 right now and a fortnite choppa
Great work, but it's very rude when you don´t answer questions.... disspointing

Meh...
I will show you what I did, but I won't show you how I did it. I actually can respect that 👍
