@@campyoldieYou are dumb. Ambrose's GREATEST strength was LINE and LENGTH. Pitch the ball on a good line and length and seam. He used the bouncer FAR LESS than MOST West Indian and other bowlers. But you people who ONLY know bowlers from Internet clips say the STUPIDEST things because you NEVER saw it.
I can't believe this package didn't include the throat ball that Curtly produced to have Graeme Wood caught in the gully on the first day of the 1988-89 Brisbane test. It was a lifter that put some of the ones depicted here to shame.
Ambrose had the height so he could pitch the ball on a good length which for any other bowler would not have been short but the ball would still rise up to batsmans chest.
I think curtly Ambrose number one fast bowler in cricket history no Akram no waqar no donald no macgrath sir curtly Ambrose aal time greatest fast bowler
I remember as a youngster we watched the Windies practice in South Africa. We wanted to get as many signatures as possible and when Curtly and Courntey Walsh came out they pretended not to see us - very elaborately - and they thought it was very funny. I realize today they had a job to do. I managed to get Carl Hooper's and Gus Logie. I was quite proud of that. My brother bowled the batsmen a few deliveries. The Windies won the Total Power Series, what a team!
The first clip where botham hit wicket, the bbc commentary team said, " there's Botham, couldn't quite get his leg over " followed by 3 minutes silence with giggling in the background.😮
I'm surprised a man of his skill and experience made such a mess of that attempt to parry the ball. He was well aware of Ambrose's skills. It might have been ego which prompted him to try and face down Ambrose rather than move out of the way.
What always makes me laugh is the commentators! Unless you have tried facing a bowling machine at 90 mph you have no idea off how idea it is .. 80 plus mph is hard
Only 1998 coloured clothing to England & West Indies in ODI'S why didn't from 1992 when first World Cup was in coloured clothing should have been much better .
Did you ask those same questions when Lilee and Thompson tried to kill batsmen long before Ambrose came about? Bowlers with genuine pace were always like that and even today on quick wickets a quick pace bowler can hurt batsmen just the same
Clearly you DO NOT understand cricket. This what fast bowlers do and HAVE ALWAYS DONE. Larwood, Trueman, Lindwall, Lillee, Thompson, Hall, Griffith, Roberts, Holding, Garner, Croft, Marshall, Ambrose, Walsh, Donald to the quicks of today. Fast bowling is NOT meant to be pleasant. Batsmen have bats. USE them as ALL have done.
Ajanta Winslow Mendis is a better bowler than Curtly Ambrose. Ajanta Mendis bowls carrom ball which is unplayable for the batsmen around the world and batsmen can't tackle him. Ajanta Mendis is simply the best. Dial M for Mendis.
This is what made cricket memorable
Now such stuff has become antique...
What made Ambrose fearsome was that he demanded perfection from himself and was livid if he wasn't.
Added to which, he usually aimed to hurt the man rather hit the bits of wood. Violent individual

This is a fantastic compilation. Can't believe I haven't seen this until today!! Good job
Golden Times 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Golden Memories 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ambrose vs Steve vaugh contest, great to watch. 👌
Ambrose was fantastic but Steve Waugh was such a tough brave batsman. If you gave me money back then I wouldn't face Ambrose.

It was Geoff Lawson
@@ameyapte8533 what do you mean? That Geoff Lawson put this compilation together?
Any video of Ambrose that appears in my feed is a guaranteed watch what a fearsome bowler he was just brilliant
Ambrose had the height so he could pitch the ball on a good length which for any other bowler would not have been short but the ball would still rise up to batsmans chest.
Absolutely..it made him unplayable at times
Ambrose on his day was probably the most accurate bowler he can bowl the perfect Length on a pitch
❤exactly
my favorite bowler of all time! 😁
I think curtly Ambrose number one fast bowler in cricket history no Akram no waqar no donald no macgrath sir curtly Ambrose aal time greatest fast bowler

Wacca 7 for 2 remains the greatest spell ive seen
Need that video 7 for 2
It's 7 for 1
Ambrose 7 for 1 spell
Ambrose was a nasty bowler.Absolute legend.
Great bowler ever I never seen before
My most favourite bowler ever.. he was so good that the batsmen of the day were NOT good enough to edge his deliveries..
One and the ONLY Ambrose ! my fav bowler
His main hole on his resume, never played subcontinent test matches on flat decks, true test of greatness for fast bowlers..
No doubt.... Ambroos the most dangerous bowler even than Marshal.......
Most Dangerous bowler in overall cricket history.
Lovely bowler
The first clip where botham hit wicket, the bbc commentary team said, " there's Botham, couldn't quite get his leg over " followed by 3 minutes silence with giggling in the background.😮
All through ambrose was great steve wargh won some of those battles
Great fast bowler in cricket history.ambros...
Pace like fiyah!
Steve wasn't intimated by even someone as fearsome and scary as Ambrose
True - He was very brave and tough. I would never face Ambrose, ever :)
Ive never seen players so quick to leave the crease
Michael Atherton was a lolipope for Ambrose everytime.😅
You can't shake Steve Waugh...
Any bowler doing this these days. And they call king koli the GOAT ..
Botham was good in county but not great against West Indians
The West Indian players of his era, including Viv Richards, had a lot of respect for him.
I'm surprised a man of his skill and experience made such a mess of that attempt to parry the ball. He was well aware of Ambrose's skills. It might have been ego which prompted him to try and face down Ambrose rather than move out of the way.
It's not Ambrose who was in a confrontation with Hughes. It's Cameron Cuffy.
Last 3 weren’t bouncers. But great, great bowler.
Amba Rose -> Titanic
Great bowler great man
arrogance leads to sure downfall
Legend bowler
Glad they were facing not me
Ouch.
What always makes me laugh is the commentators! Unless you have tried facing a bowling machine at 90 mph you have no idea off how idea it is .. 80 plus mph is hard
Super fast bowler
ALLAN BORDER IS AN EGYPTIAN BIRD
Ummm... were our TVs this bad? Lol.
Ambrose just killed the batsman with his leathel weapon bounce
Needed inzi
Is dat a game ?. Dats not cricket you actually bowling to hit the batsman, not the wicket.
Not that very dangerous I think Marshall was far more dangerous
@trichykumar5765
Not much in it though Marshall was skiddy as he was quite short for a quick.
Nah - If I had a choice, I would definitely face Marshall instead of Ambrose. Just the look on his face running in would be enough to scare me :)

Allah tauba
Did this unpleasant individual know what those bits of wood behind the batsman were for ? Or was it just is intention to injure the batsman.

Meanwhile Shoaib Akhtar laughing in the corner
Lol, Ambrose is more lethal, along with Joel garner,u porkis r more fanatics with chucker
Shoaib Akhtar was a blatant chucker...
Ask Steve Waugh.
Or compare the records of both these bowlers.
Toyab akhtar is a shit in front of mighty Ambrose.
Umm how? Shoaib NEVER had Ambrose's records. Ambrose is ONE of the GREATEST fast bowlers ever. Shoaib is NOT that lol.
Shoeb is just fast bowler, meanwhile Ambrose is very intelligent bowler u can see 👀
Ajanta Winslow Mendis is a better bowler than Curtly Ambrose. Ajanta Mendis bowls carrom ball which is unplayable for the batsmen around the world and batsmen can't tackle him. Ajanta Mendis is simply the best. Dial M for Mendis.
