For the NFT haters, they're donating the proceeds to 2 charities. Take the time to read the message from Tove Lo on the site linked in the description before sharing a rude opinion. You don't want to support charitable causes???
I read what she said and donating the money to charities is good but the footprint of mantaining 1 NFT would my guess just make the donation to Carbon 180 balance out with the harm and the good. Here are some articles that I would recommend, feel free to share any of your sources as well. inhabitat.com/understanding-nfts-and-energy-consumption/ www.wired.com/story/nfts-hot-effect-earth-climate/
@@selispeks aw of course ☺ thank you for being nice about it. It's good to have a conversation in comments that isn't rage fueled hate comments you usually see 😆
@@Dotherandom most definitely! Honestly, these articles got me! Some crytpos can run 20,000+ more transactions than VISA on the same energy, so some aim to fix it. Etherium isn't one of them, and it's the most common one for these. I'd never thought about internet use being connected to energy consumption either, and I feel silly 🤦🏻♀️ I'm glad you shared this, and I'm going to start researching this angle. If it's about saving Mother Earth? I'M DOWN 🙌🏻🌏💫🌱
@@zain-qi4jt So it's a bit complicated to explain (if it sounds like it doesnt make sense then you kind of get the point) here's a video explaining it better. ua-cam.com/video/mWE7jVEykPc/v-deo.html (start at about 2 minutes if you wanna get right to the explanation but as a whole its a good video) Besides it being just kind of...useless (?) It's really bad for the environment.
@@zain-qi4jt ya lol I honestly think NFTs were created for rich people that ran out of things to spend their money on so they needed something else 😂 Hopefully Tove Lo will release the negative environmental impact of NFTs and pull back 💓
I can't wait for the song!
