- Join the concrete crew as we pour a big driveway in Waukesha Wisconsin. Bugs showed up for a guest appearance and he is impossible to hold back. We had some additional help as well which I was glad for since the concrete is still setting up too quick. It was a gorgeous day to pour some mud and the job turned out great. Enjoy!

Bugs is one of those guys that you can never replace. He seems like he always want to put in a honest days work.

Bugs showed up early, in work boots to let Ryan know how much longer he was going to be out for. That's respect for your boss. But, honestly to bugs it's just how you handle your business. That alone makes him that much more valuable.
Honestly never thought i'd see the day when Daryll gets a final written warning about no showing the crew, I respect it because its very hard to run any business when your employees are not reliable. Love you Ryan and Daryll but lets do it right and get to work!
I haven’t felt bad for Ryan with Daryll and his issues for a while now. The guy no call no shows, mucks everything up, clearly doesn’t care about the job but Ryan continues to employ him. I’d have him sacked a long time ago, especially seeing him drop that salter and brushing it off like a little mistake. Daryll is no good…
Between Daryl AND his son, how is it possible nobody has the common sense to at least get in touch with Ryan and let him know something is wrong. At least communicate. It's not right. Ryan literally pays junior to sit in his trucks and sleep. If that was my son i'd be so grateful to Ryan and could never do anything wrong by him.

@@nickp3173 it's obviously much deeper than a simple boss to employee relationship. Ultimately its Ryan's business and if his heart wants to pay darryl jr for sleeping thats up to him. I have no issues with darryl jr or his work, but his dad on the other hand needs to figure it out.

i’m a plumber, i honestly love what i do but there’s just something about ryan’s concrete work that i can’t get enough of.

I know you're happy to have Buggs back, I know you missed him, we missed him too, he may not be able to do much but he can still do some things to help out the crew and that's better than nothing.. and I'm not surprised that Darryl got his final written warning, I think he has been taking advantage of you because he knows that you're a good guy and he thinks that since you're that nice you won't let him go if he's a no call no show, which is 1 of the worst things you can do when you're working for someone, if you don't want to go to work, you HAVE to let the boss know no matter what.. after you gave him the written warning and you were talking to Eric, he looked so nervous and he should be, and it's good that you told Darryl Jr that he's not going to get paid if he doesn't work, people are getting too comfortable with you and taking your kindness for weakness, it's good seeing you being stern and letting people know that you may be nice and playful and etc but at the end of the day, you're still a boss who owns his own company and you pay them TO WORK not to sit around and sleep and do nothing.. Even with only one hand bugs is the guy that's gonna make eric work 110% to earn his respect. And in turn bugs will teach Eric things he learned over the years. That's what happened to me when I started roofing with my God father at 19. It was explained to me that I was gonna be the first person to work and last to leave, and if I didn't know what to do. Look around and see what others where doing. And stay busy!
@@michaelyarbrough254 that's the thing when you're working.. there's ALWAYS something to do..when someone says "but there's nothing to do" they're wrong, they just don't want to do it, you can always ask someone there if they need help with something, or you could clean up, clean the tools, etc

Dead on. Being kind is one of the hardest things in life, people will think you have it better than them just based on your attitude, without ever knowing what youre going through. Youll also find many more people who will take advantage of your kindness rather than people who respect it. Despite all of that though being kind is good for your soul. It aint easy but it's worth it 100 times over
Autumn does not need to worry about studying she already has a career with film and editing! Be glad to have her come spend time with our family and business to broaden her experience.

My wife is afraid of dogs too lol something happens when they're kids and then they have life long fears. Also Daryl, you have a good thing going for not only you but also your son. Don't take Ryans graciousness for granted! He has a business to run for his own family.

I had a major fear of dogs growing up because when I was a toddler the family dog would boop me with his nose and knock me over when I would walk around. I think he was just trying to babysit
When I was around 5 or 6 years old my neighbors German Shepard bolted out of their screen door and took a chunk out of my behind, granted me and my sister used to kinda tease him in the back yard so I had it coming lol I still love dogs though

I'm very happy that Bugs is back. Also, I am also very happy you gave Darryl Sr a final warning. He is just pushing your patience and you have a business to run and your loyal employees don't like it when they think their being treated unfairly. Darryl Jr is worthless.....make your own happiness Ryan, your business and others around you are your rocks.....not someone who thinks it's OK to sleep on the job 50%. In my 45 yr career as a manager and hourly employee in the printing industry, if I got caught sleeping on the job for a sec, I'd be gone in a heartbeat. Your a great boss......I'd work for you in a minute.....in my younger days that is. God bless you and your family and employees Ryan!

Welcome back Bugs. I’m sure you didn’t want to give Daryl that last warning but he definitely needs to respect the job. Stayed off camera most of the time and didn’t sign off at the end of the video. Don’t be such a child Daryl.
Same with Junior, he has no work ethic. Sits in the truck half the day. He could easily be picking up all the tools and washing them. Helping the guys out with any small task he’s capable of doing.

Having a dog on the job stops people from overreacting to little stuff. You can get mad as all get out but with one rub behind the ears or a sloppy lick on the face the anger just fades. I think it's so great that your girls aren't just frilly flowers that only video for Victory. The fact that you can count on them to help labor when needed is awesome. Even better is that they seem willing to pitch in before you have to ask or tell. Not surprising as they come from good hard working stock. Congrats Ryan for raising go getters! My daughter is and was one of my best employees ever. She took to the work and learned fast by watching, listening and most importantly a williness to learn. She never felt above the work and realized it's how we ate. You are raising great young adults.

Autumn is such a bright girl. I remember my father taking me to the airport hangar he was a Master mechanic aviation. I spent my life around aviation. Ended up buying hardware for aircraft. To this day 25 years later after retirement I still look at the panel track and count the rivets. She's going to be successful at anything she does because her parents have her back. 💖

I've worked in structural concrete for 20 years now, in San Diego County, and I'm constantly impressed by the quality of work that you and the boys put out, on each and every job. You inspire others, (those of us who care & take pride in our work), to put all they have into every project, striving for perfection and treating every job as if it was being done at their grandma's house. On top of just being an all-around good person!

It’s weird because I work construction my whole life still do but I love watching his videos. I think it’s just the Way Ryan is and his personality why so many construction workers like ourselves like watching his channel

I am so amazed by your patience Ryan! The fact that you still have Darryl a written warning after not one but two no shows still shows that your willing to give him a chance. After all he is a god of destruction so he’s more of a risk than anything, and it’s not like he’s a hard worker so he’s rly not brining much to the team except that dang cdl, and even then he’s a hazard on the road and to the other drivers. You can tell when Ryan's anxiety is higher...he's constantly voicing the things that need to be happening in real time, out loud. I do the same thing when I'm stressed about work stuff.

I know it was rough having to give Darryl written notice. It's absolutely insane to me that just 2 weeks ago, they were all surprised on a Friday to free breakfast, free lake day, free lunch. And cash bonuses. And then guys are calling off and no-call/no-show. Absolutely mind-boggling!

Guys like daryl have a different view in life. If they don't feel like working or they are too tired. They won't show up or wont call. Even if they needed money they will still choose to stay at home. Sometimes its because they don't care other times its because they are embarassed. I know alot of guys here thats like daryl, some are even worse. Theres one here guy that has 2 kids and he choose to quit working because he was too tired and didn't see a point in working. Its a very different and strange mentality.

Both of them? It’s not juniors fault. He only comes in when his dad does. I bet he would work if Ryan came and picked him up but obviously Ryan would not do that. It’s all Darrell‘s fault.
