Yeah for sure.... you can almost hear a child-like giggle within him .....but to be fair so did I. It was like watching you're own imagination coming to life. That thrill you had the 1st time you read "The Hobbit" or the LOTR books, at least for me and what was transpiring in my life at the time as a young adult. I was 10-14yrs old, now 57, reading those books. And it still amazes me now, as an adult how my flashbacks of those summers, and what was happening at that time come just RUSHING back to life. As I hear the voices I PERSONALLY created w/in my mind come to life.

He's not underrated everyone is aware of his extraordinary talent and appreciates it, maybe you mean by underrated is unrecognized for the Oscar or something like many fans mean when they say underrated? because many great actors like him Johnny Depp, Viggo Mortensen and Benedict Cumberbatch didn't get awards like the Oscar because it became overrated actually and the Academy has other things to achieve aside from talent, Andy doesn't need an Oscar the Oscar needs him.

Andy Serkis goes all in when he performs. He said he based Smeagol partially on his cat. That voice must really wear down his throat. That's the line crossed by the best, into the breach full on.

Andy Serkis did such an amazing job on these audiobooks! I've read the Lord of the Rings but haven't heard them with the perspective of another voice. Bringing different energy and tones to various parts of a very familiar story can make it feel almost as if you're imagining it for the first time. I cant wait to listen again and I've only just finished!

Mr. Serkis, our first unit for back-in-person school was to listen and read along with your reading of The Hobbit. What a delight! What a catharsis! You have completely enthralled a new generation into Middle Earth, Tolkien and the Art of Storytelling. Most surprising for me: They absolutely loved all the Dwarves songs...and sang along! Thank you for this gift.
