That's one of the things that helps with his performance as Caesar. Caesar is also pretty charismatic.
As someone who has met him before, he does have quite natural charisma.
On top of that he is actually a really pleasant person to be around even just for a couple of minutes

Andy Serkis is an unusually gifted actor, whether seen in mo-cap or as himself. He also comes across as a modest and gracious getleman. I just saw 'War for the Planet of the Apes' and it knocked me out. His portrayal of Caesar across all three of the films has been complex, powerful, phenomenally skilled and utterly riveting.

Andy Serkis is the man. He’s an incredible talent, but what makes him truly phenomenal is his willingness to cover up everything that is “Andy Serkis” to allow Ceasar to work.
His acting ability, the makeup, the whole physicality of being an ape takes the forefront and we are mesmerized!

The way Andy delivers his lines as Caesar makes total sense because Chimps do not normally talk. And understanding a language and speaking it are two different regions of the brain. So the pauses between words in a simple short sentence makes sense for a being that wasn’t designed to talk.
Truly one of the most underrated actors of all time.
