Luka averaging almost a 34 triple double during the season, beating the toughest teams in the west playoffs to get to the final and he is SO UNDERAPPRECIATED by the midia in general. People keep talking about shai should be the mvp, ant potencial and bla bla bla. Luka at ant age was humiliating booker and the suns at that game 7

Exactly. He's a good young player, who certainly has potential, but could just as easily end up being one of those one dimensional, score first, non franchise players that always litter the league. The only sure thing about Edwards is that he's massively overrated at the moment.
Yea media jumped the gun with the ANT MJ comparisons. He hasn't won shit yet. Love ants attitude and game, but Luka and kyrie are potentially 1 of the best back courts ever
I feel like Luka's post up game is way underappreciated for how dominant it is, you rarely hear about it in the media.
That’s because the media sucks and only cares about surface level crap, controversies, and hyping up marketable players. It’s driven by profit…not to actually inform you of anything. Most of the idiots in the media could not break down an entire game like this guy does because they don’t even have an ounce of actual knowledge about the sport they’re covering.
media rather call him a ball hog then slob on Brunson who plays litterally the same but plays for the Knicks and is american.... funny how they gassed sga in the dallas series actin like luka ain't been posting those numbers since he was 21 against the clippers... and sga wasn't even playing defense that series at all 💀.. like sga is great and i can get why he Is liked more but the only argument was the defense and in the playoffs he was the helpside defender on pj or djj tge whole series.... and let both pj and djj get 20 points a game💀

This prove Luka should have been MVP. Why give awards based on regular season when the goal is winning a championship? Same goes for coach and GM of the year.
There is 2 MVP that matter. One for the regular season and one for the finals.
I do think the separation between the 2 awards make sense, everyone says that playoffs and regular season are 2 different sports.
So 2 awards make sense.

@@minimal1557 your correct. The Regular Season is over. We're in the Playoffs now. And with the way Kyrie is playing who knows who gets the Finals MVP...though I imagine they give it to Luka....and a ring and a FMVP is better than a RSMVP....plus, we see with Denvers loss to TWs just how much Joker means to the Nuggets...his VALUE to that team is numerically superior to the others candidates value to their respective teams. Joker is an enigma.
Joker matters more to the nuggets than Luka to the mavs. Imagine joker with kyrie instead of jamal? Quit it. It's a wrap.
And joker has a ring while Luka still doesn't just to be clear.

@arkadiuszrogala1359 maybe, just because it's difficult to tell his offensive ceiling. If he can be an efficient scorer then we will then find out how good of a playmaker he is. Then we could judge from there
This next generation of talent is loaded with potential....the league is changing for the better....if the NBA lets them play the way they did after the All Star break things will naturally become more Defense oriented which imo is healthier and more exciting....If Joker played 8-10 more years and picks up another ring or 2...if SGA continues to improve...if Luka has the cast Dallas put with hm late this year....if Wemby doesn't get hurt....if ANT matures etc....there are a lot of ifs....but man there is a load of potential there to keep us entertained for the next decade or so.
He's been on GOAT trajectory when he solo carried a lottery team to a WCF in 2022.

I’ve been telling folks Luka is better and more marketable the Jokic no disrespect to joker.
I don’t know if it’s clear that he’s better than Joker. They’re definitely one and two. I will say Mavs are better matched for Wolves because of their rim protection and how that slows down Ant and the Wolves bigs. And it’s clear that Doncic’s team is playing better than the Nuggets did in the last round. Hard to isolate Luka’s production compared to Jokic. Jokic had one of the all time runs last year. Luka if he can pull off the Finals MVP will be legendary, of course he’s younger too, and it will be fascinating to watch him enter his prime.

i like jason when it comes to non lebron content but you can tell what he sees and what tim legler sees are totally on different level. legler played at that level and sees the details only former nba player experienced.
That’s why multiple perspectives and balance is key…like most other things in life. It’s never a good idea to come at something from only one perspective.

@@aximus11they’re not playing poorly for no reason though. They’re playing poorly BECAUSE they’re playing Dallas. Barkley said it before the series even started…it’s just a bad matchup for them. They were built by the guy who built Denver…to beat Denver…not Dallas with a reinvigorated Kyrie.
Really unfortunate that the Nuggets ran out of gas in the 3rd quarter of game 7. Denver would match up way better against Dallas (Aaron Gordon guards Luca better than anybody and KCP on Kyrie is a much better matchup than KCP on Ant) and this would be a much more interesting series! Instead we get this pitiful sweep.

My question is: would you believe me if i told you that you very much are a prisoner of the moment?
My theory is that the more engrossed and enthusiastic one is about a sport, and for someone like you who watches it professionally, you consume so much in such a short time that you cant help but overestimate the importance of a single 48 minutes of basketball or one single good or bad game of a player.
If they win, it almost sounds like they were always better. If they lose, the flaws the we saw in that game were readily apparent and never possible to beat.
