That's a beautiful and rare '68 Nova. I love it. All I can say is that if I owned it I would NEVER, EVER, park it in a parking garage at the mall. No matter how far you park it away from the mall door you'll come back an hour later and there would be cars wedged in a hand's width away on both sides and a couple of nice new dents in the sides from where careless people threw their doors open right into it. Been there. Done that.
@Pop's Garage Mayhem Sometimes I park diagonally across two spaces in an attempt to keep other cars away even though I'm parked at the farrrrrr end of the parking lot. That does help.

@@jamesyoast5425 yeah, I will. Mistakes happen sometimes. However, it's not my fault, the poster above stated that this was a Chevy II in the first place. However, in my opinion a Chevy II _is_ a Nova; I'm just sticking to that name just so I can't confuse others with the Chevy II name. It's a Nova and that's it. Is that fair enough?
@@jamesyoast5425 well, it looks like we were wrong. The poster was right this whole time. After I did some research, the Chevy II Name was originally made from 1962-1968. The 1968 Nova has a Chevy II name badge on the front hood of the vehicle (proof is at 0:24). Just to clarify, some 1968 Chevy Novas have the Chevy II Badge while other '68 models do not. we do take rack and pinion steering for granted :) No, seriously, you can buy steering boxes with better ratios--my '68 4-4-2 is 2.7 turns lock to lock. But its classic power steering--numb. And power discs that launch you thru the window the first time you leave the driveway, until you remember how to touch the pedal.
Feels like back in the day watching 6 or 7 seasons of Smallville, waiting to watch Superman fly, and he never really does. Kept it all under the hood without showing us what he could do.
Key in the dashboard...yep, its a 1968. Next year everyone went to key in the steering column. And gone were the days of your passenger stealing the key out of the ignition leaving the car running until you asked for the key back to stop the engine.
IMO, squeezed through on the yellow. So long as some part of your car, enters some portion of the intersection prior to the light turning, you can clear the intersection and not have "run a red light."

Hi I have a question for you what kind of transmission you have? We got a 572 blueprint motor would a 700r4 trans hook up to it or do we need to go bigger?
4L80E getting a 700R4 to handle that would just cost the same as a regular 4L80E plus 1st gears in 700s suck very quick 1-2 shift. you can change it but it cost more than its worth
WOW, great clearance, engine sits nice and low, stock 4 speed or 5 speed? Don't need crazy gearing with that under the hood, easy mid 11's with GOOD traction, hope you have some frame connectors, traction bars and at least a good 12 bolt? Glad you went with the 4 speed, yeah auto nowdays might be quicker but unless you're serious racer have fun w the 4 speed. No issues with the wiper motor clearance ?
The 68-72 Nova were easily the best looking economy cars of the era.
Fkn aye i second and third fourth that ,i cant believe how clean simple and beautiful the design is ,i will own one of these one day
