Perfect project car. Another completely honest video. I love when people complain about the flaws 😅 You make it VERY clear that none of the rides are perfect. You're not trying to hide anything from anyone and I respect it❤ Keep up the quality content brother 👍🏼
agree this isn't Barrett's Jackson. Maple sells classic cars that need some TLC and test drive / walk around are very honest. People expect to get a fully restored $100K car for $25K it don't work like that
Damn Nick… This one is like 0 for 5 at the start. No wipers, no heater, no blinkers, no brake lights, no gas gauge. Well, I guess it does have a motor & transmission. 😂😂😂
Everybody thinks of everything except for the electrical work! I'm guessing this is a Saturday night special it's nice but it's not a daily until you run your own wires and get a universal fuse box if you can't reach them
No reverse lights either. Just sorting out all the electrical issues, not to mention the jammed blower motor control cable, is going to cost whoever buys it, a lot of time. I'm guessing some major issues in the wiring, otherwise whoever they bought it from, would have taken care of the simple fixes such as fuses or switches needing replaced. Let's face facts - whoever sold it to them, was trying to get as much as they possibly could for it, whether it was straight cash or trading material towards another car on the lot. Every one of those issues is a bargaining chip to get the price lower, and the seller is just as aware of that, as the buyer is, and none of them were fixed. Signals, brake lights, and wipers/horn are all desirable for daily or even occasional drivers, as they can cause wrecks that will put you at fault. Kinda a big deal, on a $30K investment.
Might have been easier to just list WHAT DOES WORK with this one!!! LOL!!! Still a great combination 2nd gen Nova, white/black with a BIG BLOCK, a stick and a12 bolt rear end... with a little work, this will be ONE FUN RIDE!!!
Very nice very sweet car underneath is considerably very clean didn't see much rust if none at all always loved the Nova back in the day my friend had a hatchback forgot what year it was maybe a 76 I don't know always love the Novas this one is very very nice I'm in New York I might be contacting you one day very soon love your inventory
Love a Nova with a big block. Seems odd that the previous owner did all that work to the interior, but didn't straighten out the electrical first. Nice car though.
I know you guys don't do mechanic work. Fan motors and horns can be fixed later but lights and turn signals are safety concerns. Even if you have to pay someone. It will preserve your good name.
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgateThat was good to read! Happens a lot on these older rides - a little rust and then a lost connection. Sometimes a little WD-40 and a wire brush is all it takes.
I had a 68 S.S. with a 327 Vette motor, a Muncie Rock Crusher 4sp, and a 12-bolt posi rear end. That car was an indestructible smoke machine. Snapping motor mounts and having the gas pedal stuck to the floor wide open always gave me an excessive adrenaline bump. The only problem with that car was the notoriously faulty stock barometers that controlled the Automatic Emergency Barrametric Pressure Wing Deployment System (A.E.B.P.W.D.S.). This safety feature would engage once it detected a sudden change in the barometric air pressure under your car. You always had to ensure those gauges were calibrated correctly to your physical location; otherwise, they may deploy early or not at all. I grew up on the North Oregon Coast, which has many high, jagged cliffs. One day, while going into a corner at supersonic speed (hence the S.S.), one of my shock mounts on the traction bars snapped, launching me off into the wild blue yonder over a 200-foot cliff. That's when those faulty gauges and emergency wing deployment systems always failed, especially for the boneheads who were terrible at math. They never got those things set up correctly. Thankfully, I was good at math. I just had a bad gauge, but my Emergency Flotation System (E.F.S.) did engage when I hit the water. Sadly, a large breaker capsized the old S.S. Nova, taking her to her watery grave at the bottom of the Pacific. To the best of my memory, this is a true story with many fascinating possibilities and outcomes. Have A Great Day!
She’s a stick big block but if someone knows what they are doing with carb avd distributor she will wake up. Someone got her set for driving not performance necessarily. That means she been taken care of. Good job Nick
Nick I think that it is a good looking car but with turn signals gas gage brakes brake lights and wipes. Get them fixed and it will be good and price could come down. 😊
Big block nova with a 4-speed. Small electrical issues is an easy fix. Im glad people shy away because it shows they know nothing about classic car market and we don't need them in the community. This will make someone a great running and driving project.
@OnTheAir compared to body, engine, suspension work, electrical is easier and less expensive. I've restored and rebuilt a lot of cars and electrical is by far the cheapest and easiest to repair.
Very nice very clean the engine and the interior is the best thing about the car paint job it's like a glorified Earl Scheib paint job give it a quick spray make it look good even did the insides of the doors and everything overall a very very nice car underneath very very clean interior very nice not too happy about the paint job with the drips and everything a lot of overspray even on the vinyl roof but it's nothing a couple of bucks won't fix won't break the bank very nice very clean car guys and it's got a lot of balls you better hurry up and pick this one up I really don't think it's going to be around for long cuz everybody loves a Nova specially one that's worked❤
Nice one Bud , looks like someone has already did the hard work, underneath looks solid, the body nice and interior great. I little electrical problem no problem 👍 Won't last long 👍
The guy that built this one wasn't screwing around---he wanted the biggest Chevy engine made in the lightest car it would fit in, with a 4 speed to go with it. He didn't care if the other stuff worked, he just wanted to go fast lol
454 4 speed and I have no idea how this car performs because you are driving like grandma. Is there a reason you didn’t step into it? I have enjoyed a lot of your videos, thanks.
@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate Yeah, I get it, mostly nickel and dime fixes, which sometimes warrant a little more than expected, like replacing an entire wiring harness, wiper motors, fuses and relays... looks good otherwise.
This car should have never been tested on the road. It is deemed unsafe with no tail lights, no brake lights, no signal lights, and no horn. Can't believe you risked it on the road. This will never pass inspection with the DMV. Hoping the family isn't that money hungry!
Saturday night special hahah who ever built it tried real hard not perfect dang 27k is high hard to believe people get that kind of money 20 years ago could of bought this car under 10k or less
Y'all got some work to do before you try to sell this one. Could get some money for it, but for now, just another used car that's overpriced. That's coming from a Chevrolet guy, who loves a Nova, and most every other car and truck Chevrolet has made. The 4 speed manual transmission shifts well. The clutch seems to be ok. Engine sounds great. Getting the little things fixed will get you the money. Yall might want to change that policy. BUT, vinyl tops SUCK! I HATE THEM! THEY CAUSE SO MUCH RUST!!
We would have it priced for a lot more if we fixed all the little stuff. This car sold fast as it was. No need to change anything , we sell about 60 a month as it is.
Just a BUNCHA lil chit that needs to be tidy’d up all these armchair mechanics bitčh’n about tailights and chit in a 30 yr old car would be better off getting a Hyundai from the dealers w/a 10yr warranty than a 30y/o classic muscle car!!!
Perfect project car.

And all for the low sum 27k and some change No thanks bud.
I wouldn't be able to afford to keep tires on this one....that 454 is meant for pulling and I'd be in it all day long!

No brake lights or turn signals
Love a Nova with a big block. Seems odd that the previous owner did all that work to the interior, but didn't straighten out the electrical first. Nice car though.
This is nice little bit of work to take it to the finish line. Big block 4 speed and a 12 bolt. This won't be on the lot long.
I know you guys don't do mechanic work. Fan motors and horns can be fixed later but lights and turn signals are safety concerns. Even if you have to pay someone. It will preserve your good name.
Yes all the lights have been checked and fixed. It was a ground issue that happened after the video started
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgateThat was good to read! Happens a lot on these older rides - a little rust and then a lost connection. Sometimes a little WD-40 and a wire brush is all it takes.
Way to go@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate big blocks bring Big Bucks.

Nice cruiser not abused.
Nick you might want to check out, no tail lights, no turn signals, no brake lights.
Yes all fixed ground issue
Reverse lights weren't working either.

Hi guys you've got so many great cars on your lot wow I love everything about maple motors keep it up thank you ❤❤
Big block nova with a 4-speed. Small electrical issues is an easy fix. Im glad people shy away because it shows they know nothing about classic car market and we don't need them in the community. This will make someone a great running and driving project.
Easy fix? Nothing electrical works except the ignition. There could be a host of problems.
@OnTheAir compared to body, engine, suspension work, electrical is easier and less expensive. I've restored and rebuilt a lot of cars and electrical is by far the cheapest and easiest to repair.
Yes we have already fixed the lights after the video. Just ground issues , they worked before we started

Thanks man, I appreciate you 👍
If the body is real solid it’s a good deal. Got a 12 bolt too!
Damn, well worth it
Good looking nova has good sound to it,i think it would look good red, thanks nick you the man!!
Yes That Is A Very Great Looking Old Car There Nick
That will sell QUICK! A few days of TLC by a buyer can put a plan in place to resolve the blower, wipers, signals, radio, etc.
Going to need some love from the new owner(s) but that is all part of the fun of owning these old cars. It is for me anyway.
Thats a clean ass car really looks token care of
Nice ride, sleeper car i like it
Very nice looking Nova 👍👍💪💪
The guy that built this one wasn't screwing around---he wanted the biggest Chevy engine made in the lightest car it would fit in, with a 4 speed to go with it. He didn't care if the other stuff worked, he just wanted to go fast lol
That's a really cool ride,but I prefer a small block in a Nova.
It will make someone a nice Christmas present 🎁
A lot of problems for that price
Minor issues
Move along then
454 4 speed and I have no idea how this car performs because you are driving like grandma. Is there a reason you didn’t step into it? I have enjoyed a lot of your videos, thanks.
very clean under carriage!
I thought I herd a knock
For that kind of money everything should be working!
Just look around , we have ours priced very reasonable compared to others. We also show you what works and doesn’t. Most will not do that for you
@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate Yeah, I get it, mostly nickel and dime fixes, which sometimes warrant a little more than expected, like replacing an entire wiring harness, wiper motors, fuses and relays... looks good otherwise.

I agree. At least make them road legal. Or is that asking too much for $30K?
The price will be dropped next week to many issues.
Nope we have to keep them 60 days before we price drop. Also the tail lights turn signals have been address right after the video. It will sell
The wife is calling 😊
A very nice Chevy nova. I would love to have this one.
Nick I am wondering is that interior a true SS .. nice ride .?
Since SS is not in the video title, I'm betting it's not a true SS, but it does have a big block in it.
Someone took a base Nova and dropped in a big block not an SS
It would cost more if it was a real ss
This is NOT a true SS ..
@@jamesf4405 the SS emblem are there. ? Although.
Whats the interest rate on a old car like this on your lot ?????? 700 credit score
