There is a Lower u bar bracket/brace that the fenders braces bolt to with carriage bolts. The u bracket mounts to the 2 holes about 3/4 way down the grill shell that are flat. That u brace also mounts to the crossmember with 2 bolts at the bottom with a rubber gasket. That's what holds the whole front clip up.
Very nice 👍
Git R Done Dave tape some light cardboard over both sides of your Rad those fins are delicate
Nice that sood keep it cool
It looks like summer there.
6 new brackets and you are done !@$%& magic words lol. Need to assemble front end along with radiator shroud on car then use the brackets to locate. Once that's done you'll be able to install radiator. If you place rad in first then you'll have to get everything else to fit let alone line up. Just my thoughts.
Hi Dave, would this take the guess work out of mounting the rad? How about, putting the front fenders up and getting them positioned in their correct location. Then you will know the amount you need to shape the front of the chassis Frames. Then get the front grill and bonnet sitting correctly and all lined up, then you know what space you have to position the rad into. Instead of fitting the rad first and trying to get every thing else to fit around it. It's juts a thought as that's way I'd go about it.
Yes, fenders first. That was the hole point of cutting away that beam. Was lying in bed thinking about how I was going to do it, lol.
Cold..Come see me in Montana -18' today. -21' tonight... That is just a spring day here in Montana. Beach weather starts at - 3'
Will be great when you do not have to worry about overheating...
A real true hot roder! He knows it’s cold outside, but, it’s HOT ROD inside! Great vlog, thanks for posting and sharing. Are you sure that a plasma cutter wouldn’t be needed? Great build, but instead I would have put in a unique engine. Pontiac OHC 6, Chevy V6, 250 c.I. Inline 6, etc. Just my 2 cents. Seems like everyone is sbc crazy.
I'm new to hot rodding, and the SBC is plentiful and easy for parts. Thanks for watching.
I have the same radiator for my '46 Chevy pickup. It has a 350 small block. It's not running yet, but am working on it. I'll be glad to see how this project works out.
I'm happy to report, the new rad has been flawless for two years now. Fantastic upgrade and a great price. Good luck with yours.
this is the fun part of building a hotrod making what you see in your mind be reality
I'm amazed at the size of the radiator you took out compared to the new one 👍
Yeah, my heater core is not much smaller, lol.
Great start! Love your time lapses - hehe! What a difference that new rad will make, looks massive!
Good luck on the fad stage glad you have a lot of patience!!!!!
You will need to install it in the radiator shell, that’s what the four holes are for
Nice progress remember ROME wasn’t built in a day!!!!try 👀 looking ahead like where the hood and grill have to be in the end I think is the biggest thing!!!! The new radiator is awesomeness!!!!!
His name is Buggsy.
Maybe you could use it for a heater core LOL that thing is puny
What part number did you get for the radiator? They don’t have any for 36 master cars only trucks on their website. Building up my 36 master sedan now and it doesn’t like to stay cool
I think I got the one for a truck. Mine was not a standard install remember. I just needed one as close as possible. I would shoot them a message. Might be the same as a 37.
Dave I hope you haven’t given up on bugsy
Do you have the part# of that rad you got from Champion. Nice job
I think it was this one, but it's currently out of stock. They restock fairly regularly. shop.championcooling.com/Performance-Radiators/Chevrolet/Chevrolet-Master/1937-Chevrolet-Master-Car-SKU-37CH
@@ScottRods Thanks
Don’t reuse the electric fan, use a mechanical one it will never over heat again. Just saying
