My young daughter once asked me to play her the "Hubbly-Bubbly Song." She insisted that I knew it and had showed it to her before. I asked her to sing it to me, and she went, "It's too late to turn back now. Hubbly, bubbly, bubbly I'm falling in love."

I hope someday you do Dionne Warwick I'll Never Fall in Love Again. Her voice is amazing when you listen to the little things she does. It's not in your face. It's light and subtle and very classy. And such a good 60's vibe. Written by Burt Bacharach.

Every once in a while, you guys react to a song I haven't heard in YEARS, like this one. Suddenly, I'm way, way back in time remembering singing along to a song on the radio. Like this song. Another spot on reaction J and Amber. This song reminds me of my honeymoon in 1973. We went from Oklahoma to California and the Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose were the featured performers at Disneyland the day we were there. Great memories. We were gone for almost 2 weeks and both of us had quit our jobs to get married. To save money we stayed with friends several places ("crashed at their pad, man" in true 60's lingo). My lovely bride and I now have 51 years together and counting. Peace out.

The group originally formed in the mid 60s with Eddie and Carter Cornelius as the Cornelius Brothers. After seeing a talent search ad in the paper, the duo auditioned for producer Bob Archibald who then signed them to his label.
Rose Cornelius had already appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show in June 1967 and had been performing in Las Vegas and worldwide, touring in 1970 with a group called the Gospel Jazz Singers. She returned home to Florida at her mother's request to help form the group.
The group hit the pop chart in 1971 with the single "Treat Her Like a Lady" (U.S. R&B Top 20, Billboard Hot 100 No. 3).[1] The record was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on 2 August 1971.[2][3]
The act succeeded again in 1972 with "Too Late to Turn Back Now" (U.S. R&B No. 5, Hot 100 No. 2); both songs were written by Eddie Cornelius.[2] This also sold over one million copies with a gold disc awarded in August 1972.[2]

They have at least one more great song but the name slips my mind at the moment. I’ve just added this to my playlist which is from 64-65 all the way to 1979. A lovely blend of the orchestral pop of the 1960s with Motown soul. This family was from Dania Beach, FL, down by Ft. Lauderdale. Only three albums before they broke up over religious issues (one brother joined a Black Hebrew Temple and the other became a born-again Chrsitian) but the music is everlasting.

Being that I was a Sam Cooke fan at an early age due to my dad always singing Sam Cooke songs I remember thinking this was Sam Cooke when I first heard it and still to this day, I can feel Sam Cooke's influence in the lead singer's voice.
