  • This week we are finally cutting the shipping containers! Ian got to learn how to use a plasma cutter and worked his butt off! Thanks to Chris for helping us out and lending his tools!
    It takes a village to make a container home on a Sunfish Budget!

    You’re getting more comfortable with the camera work and it shows. I’m now officially sucked in.

      we love that channel too, thanks so much for your support!! I wish we could just build and not have to work though like them!! Ian works full time installing glass ( we own Onsite Glass MN 22 years and counting 👍) so he works 2 full time jobs currently 😳😳

      I installed glass back in the day. I loved installing my IG units in my container home.

    Just subscribed tonight. Good content and good camera work. Baffled why you chose containers. Will continue watching as your sense of humor is refreshing.

    I use a plasma cutter on container home and it’s the only way to go.

    What's your plan for keeping that center from sagging under a large snow load?

    • @SunfishBudget
      @SunfishBudget  2 роки тому

      we cut the containers to fit together and they are welded together the "sag" we were concerned about was when transporting the containers to the build site and not moving a ton in that process, we wil be using the sides we cut in other areas of the home 😁

    What plasma cutter did you get and was it attached to the predator generator?

    • @SunfishBudget
      @SunfishBudget  2 роки тому +1

      we had to hook up a 50 amp service to our electrical panel off of our garage and we borrowed the plasma cutter is a thermal dynamic
      cut master I believe a 42 but i can double check👍

      Loved the magnet idea. I’m going to use that concept on the rest of my container build. I also loved the concrete forms. I’m getting ready to put down some concrete this month. I think I will get me some of those forms. I’ll plug y’all on my channel for the ideas.
