I have to do something similar to this. And after watching this, I'm going to go get an axle and wheels from the junk hard and make the container into a temporary trailer.
I had considered that, but the only junk trailer we had laying around wouldn’t have taken the load. If you’re moving it over flat ground, I can highly recommend the method we used with the wood poles.
Can't watch this no more perfectly good boxer cutting up it's super easy to move that box you can do it with a pick up Everything about putting some round pipes under it and rolling it You can take well but where is the brain
Heh. I was having trouble with the stick. I'd like to blame the generator, but its probably my skill. The stick welds were solid, but looked like garbage. I went over them with flux core (I don't own a MIG rig :/) primarily to hide my ugly welds. I'm vain like that.
I moved 2 40ft high cubes up hill skul dragged with a ford ranger ..about 100 meters..seems to be a shitload of xtra work cutting them in half to move...there is alot better ways
Great idea... bad execution... seems everything is an afterthought in the build... a former machinist (because he can not measure or level) LOL what a joke...
It's how DIY projects are done, trial and error! This is UA-cam not HGTV. People need to see how hard projects can be and not just the good parts. This guy could have just shown us the welding of the bracing for both ends, installing braces, cutting the box in half, then Arial view of the farm. Voila! Instead, he showed reality without the smoke and mirrors. Great job!

You got some free road grading out of that project LOL! Great content. Love the inspector!! New sub here.
7:05 I guess those are safety sandals?
Kevlar reinforced crocs :)
shipping containers make pretty good graders.

Too close for stick, I'm switching to MIG!

So what you are saying is that if I had an excavator I could have broken quarantine protocol
We didn’t shake hands

Awesome!
I ruined a cell phone with plasma spray filming... oops lesson learned!
Yeah. The high frequency start on my TIG welder always messes up my phone.
Just fucked up the good containers by cutting them up a 11ton digger would have lifted it no problems
I also doubled the enclosed space by cutting them in two, but sure, feel free criticize from the side lines.

Thanks for your thoughtful feedback. Your specific suggestions are really appreciated.
Man! Be constructive. There's no call for this
